gojo’s crush on the front desk worker at his gym
- fluff
you tapped your pen against the front desk, scanning memberships as the usual morning crowd filtered in. the gym was quiet this early, just the hum of treadmills and clinking weights in the background. then the automatic doors slid open and in he came in like clockwork.
satoru gojo. tall, messy white hair, blindfold pushed up like a headband today so those insane blue eyes could shine under the fluorescent lights. he wore a black compression shirt that should be illegal.
“morning, sweetheart,” he drawled, leaning his forearms on the counter like he owned the place. “did you dream about me again? be honest.”
you snorted, sliding his card back without looking. “yeah, in my nightmares. you were late on dues and i had to chase you out with a clipboard.”
he gasped, clutching his chest dramatically. “ouch. that hurts, baby. right here.” he pointed at his heart, then leaned in closer with a smirk. “but we both know you’d miss me if i stopped showing up. who else is gonna bring you these?”
he slid a strawberry mochi across the desk like he was handing over treasure. you tried to look unimpressed but took it anyway. “bribing the front desk now? bold strategy, gojo.”
“is it working?” he wiggled his eyebrows. “c’mon, give me a little credit. i even remembered your favorite flavor this time. last week you said the mango ones were mid.”
you popped a piece in your mouth, trying not to smile too big. “okay, fine. you’re slightly less annoying than usual today.”
“slightly? i’m wounded.” he clutched the counter like he might faint. “i come in here every day looking this good and all i get is ‘slightly’? cruel woman. i might have to start doing my sets right here so you can appreciate the view.”
“please don’t. you’ll scare the retirees away,” you laughed, waving him toward the gym floor. “go sweat somewhere else, pretty boy.”
gojo didn’t move. instead he rested his chin on his hand, staring at you with that stupidly soft grin that made your stomach flip.
“pretty boy, huh? keep calling me that and i really won’t leave this desk. might just camp out here until you agree to get coffee with me after your shift.” you raised an eyebrow, heart fluttering. “coffee? that’s the best line you got?”
“nah, i’ve got better ones, but i’m saving them for when you finally admit you like me too.” he winked, finally pushing off the counter but walking backwards so he could keep teasing. “four o’clock, right? don’t make me wait, desk princess. i get whiny when i’m hungry… and when the cutest girl in the building leaves me hanging.”
you rolled your eyes but couldn’t hide your smile. “go lift something heavy before your ego gets too big for the door, satoru.”
he blew you a kiss over his shoulder as he finally headed in. every day he came in he stayed longer at the desk, and every day the banter got a little sweeter. gojo was hooked, and he wasn’t even trying to hide it anymore.
