fushigikasai:
The concentration of these elite brutes were more steady than a gun held by an assassin. Like hellfire the edges of rock and stone continued to slide, tear, and scrape against the boulder they called cover. With such power behind these mere mooks, it seemed as though even their spirits could break. Nothing could stop the boulder beginning to crumble and shatter apart, but it was just as Wukong predicted. Like a miracle graced to them by Arceus, their brutal foes expended their energy attempting to flush the duo out. It was time.
“NOW!”
With his single being his cry, the Infernape vaulted over the shambles of the boulder, screeching out like a savage in the mountains. Quickly he flung himself at the closest Golem and, with his bo staff now unsheathed, brought it down vertically against their small head. The THWACK that cut against the atmosphere was vicious as if it were a spark of fire ignited by the fiercest match. It was then, with his opponent now dazed, that the Infernape unleashed nothing but the most brutal of punches and kicks within Close Combat with his staff back in his tail’s coil.
‘”ATATATATATATATATATATA—“
One after another his appendages cascaded themselves into this megalith of a mercenary. His strikes were so fierce and so precise that bits and pieces of the Golem’s body began to break off, the sounds of gravel crumpling mixing with his yells. As his opponent began to inch downward in the flurry of his attacks and the pile of his own body, Wukong’s senses immediately tingled as if shot.
To his right was the other Golem, completely aware of the Lopunny that had been behind cover with him. Wukong felt nothing but the twinge of surprise clasp at his heart as he, with his assault now ending, was unable to react in time. He could only watch as they prepared to unleash a furious Hammer Arm in his direction, his eyes fixated upon their militant fist as he attempted to etch back.
“DOLI!”
{/Wukong leapt out with such speed that she almost couldn’t believe it! He reacted faster than she could when it came to the attack. Still, she wasn’t too far behind him when it was time to go. One thing though, Doli wasn’t meant to fight on rocky terrain. She couldn’t get a good footing trying to go over all these rocks with such dainty paws. And then to have to dodge the shrapnel that the Golem had created, ugh! It was like a nightmare for her trying to run over them. Her ice fist was going to run out at this point! But something wasn’t right, he wasn’t looking at her like he should have been. He was looking at...Wukong!
“DOLI!”
Hearing her name she immediately turned to Wukong, and saw what her Golem was readying a Hammer Arm. If she didn’t move fast enough, she wasn’t going to be able to save him in time! No, no! She had to help! Quickly hardening the ice on her fist, instead of running, she crouched for a moment, then sprang right at the Golem. It was much faster and she covered much more distance in that short amount of time. Bringing back her Icy fist for a much harsher impact, bringing it forward, her frost covered fist met a perfectly charged Hammer Arm. Doli was able to change the direction of their attack and make them bring it down on the ground, but Wukong was still in trouble as soon as that brute turned around!
Fluffy arms wrapping around her flaming companion, she quickly carries him away from the Golem. It was probably unnecessary, but at least they were both currently out of the line of fire at the moment. Both of them were physical attackers, but Doli wouldn’t survive a Fighting attack like that, and Wukong’s defenses were down from his Close Combat. Meaning both of them probably would have been taken out. She didn’t go too far, just a yard away to create enough distance for Wukong to recover as much as he needs to, and for her to ready another punch. Putting him down, she shook out her wrists for a moment before turning back to the two Golem.}
“So...Wukong. Do we finish them off? Or are we hightailing it out of here? Cause uh...I’m good with either.”
