DOINK! Final Fantasy Exchange

Hello, DOINK! fans and followers!

In 2015, there will be no formal round of DOINK!

After discussing our schedules, other obligations and current state of preparedness, the moderator team has decided to take 2015 off to improve our infrastructure. We're aiming to improve our sign up code, work on our matching macro to keep our focus on providing everyone good prompts they'll be excited to create for, and create some new tools to help us run things on the back end that will make the exchange experience smoother and faster for everyone.

However, later in the year we may launch some informal prompting/writing events of some kind, similar to our Kiss Battle. Nothing's been decided yet, but as soon as we know we'll announce events here and on Dreamwidth. If you have particular types of prompt events you like, do let us know!

If you're looking for an exchange to dive into this year, Press Start is a video game exchange and they open nominations on June 20th. :D If there are other active Final Fantasy or video game writing challenges happening this year, feel free to drop us a message, as well. :)

As the last few chocobos cross the finish line, we bring the 2014 races to a close! The Kiss Battle made for yet another exciting final lap, and we once again congratulate everyone involved. Everyone who left prompts, created new works, and left feedback for others deserves a round of applause. Thanks for making it another great year for the Chocobo Races!

2014 Chocobo Races Winner: Team Cactuar

The Cactuars proved to be as swift as their namesake, bursting out of the starting gate back in September and holding the lead all throughout the year! They contributed 55 points’ worth of kisses during February, putting their final total at an impressive 415 points. Excellent work, Cactuars!

The Tonberries put up a massively good fight during the Kiss Battle as well, securing 40 kissy points for themselves. They finished the races with 95 points total, and the overall race was so much the better for it!

And of course, we can’t forget the independent players who dropped in for the Kiss Battle again this year -- whether you played on a team or by your own rules, we thank you all for your participation!

So again, congratulations to Team Cactuar! Enjoy that victory fanfare!

The round for October/November has closed! Some players from the first round are still going strong, plus we had some lovely newcomers this time! Here are our results:

The Cactuars are still putting up a tremendous fight, but the Tonberries haven't given up yet! There are many ways to stack points in your works, so think creatively and strategically when plotting your fills next round! It's still truly anyone's race!
