From one big workin’ dog to another, what would you say is where your drive really kicks in? For example, I feel particularly dog-ish when I’m given a task versus if I were to choose to do it myself. Especially when I’ve got my work vest on.

Howdy! I'd say when I'm outside, given clear instructions of what to do in the day. Workin' on acres is particularly euphoric for me. It gets hot, but it's rewarding. I love gettin' dirty outside, and feeling fulfilled. Oh! And subtly guarding/guiding people as they walk.

Ive been thinking often about how my girlfriend is a fairy and I’m a dragon. It’s such a funny thought to me that we’re on completely opposite sides of the mythical creature spectrum. Bonus points because she’s easy to chew on
I keep randomly remembering I have this blog. So. Um.
While I don’t spend a lot of time in the community anymore (for various reasons), I feel like my nonhuman-ness has really come back full swing with my proper transition into adulthood. I have never felt human, I don’t think I ever will, but particularly now that I’m expected to “properly” express humanity and don’t have the excuse of being young… it really feels like it’s put things into perspective. I’m so much less human than I initially thought. I spend more of my free time indulging in “dog time” now, like wearing gear around the house or expressing myself through growls and barks. I feel like I’m one step from realizing I just need to run off into the woods

I am sooo ready for winter to be over. I need to get to shedding and be out in the sun asap
Does anyone else yearn for a way to communicate that they can’t quite pin down? Human words fail me, so does the limited human body language. I need to tilt wings and ears that aren’t there, make sounds I’ve forgotten the meaning of, those subtle animal movements that mean everything to them but humans can’t pick up on. I yearn to express myself that way, and have things to say that way— but I just can’t, because I don’t know how to anymore.
