EXCEL.BMF: A pea green Hyundai Excel, the Korean car manufacturer’s first foray into the American market. Phil from Totem Graphics drives an Excel. In a strange twist of fate, Phil was also assigned the task of making clipart of the Excel. Finally, he thought, something I actually know a thing or two about. In fact, the graphic he ended up making is based on his own Excel, right down to the plastic rims and pea green color. On the night Phil disappeared for good, his Excel was left idling on the side of the unpaved road, the beep-beep-beep alert of the open door the only sound in the silent woods. Even the crickets and spring peepers were quiet that night.
