Today is a Friday. I think I will be streaming today in the restaurant district if the mall across the river does not get held hostage like last week from the supervillains.

Supervillains and superheroes do not seem very super. They seem very ordinary. Very small. Maybe it is because they have a special trick sometimes. They are not like people I know like my sister or my guardian or Ava or Mirielle or Crowley or Erna or Nata or Mads who have many tricks.

Even Lord Ji is more super than the supervillains by virtue of being able to become less small and turning into the size of a four story building. Too bad Lord Ji cannot produce the eggs. They would have made nice omelettes.

There is always a lot of traffic when a supervillain is present because they like to cause a lot of destruction.

One time, I was late to the buffet because it closed at 3:00 pm, and traffic was the bumper-to-bumper and unmoving on the overpass. I went out of the bus and walked 12 miles on the highway.

It was a bit hard to figure out how to cross with so many holes in the overpass, but I found a service ladder to climb down to the ground.

Sauteed mushrooms go well with the burgers. Their savory, almost meaty taste enhances the savory taste of the beef, especially when paired with a gravy. Together, they are the "flavor bomb" full of intense umami.

Grilled onions are okay despite the uneasiness. They have a sweet, almost smoky taste that balances the richness of the beef patty - and are better than the raw onions that have a much sharper bite. They are not something I would specifically order, but I would not discard them if I found them on my burger.

Muenster is a very delicious cheese, and it melts 75% as well as the American cheese so long as it's not overcooked. It makes for a nice golden melted coating, filling in the nicks and crannies of the meat patty. The taste is almost buttery and has a mild, not overpowering taste. It matches well with the savouriness of the sauteed mushrooms and beef and the sweetness of the grilled onions. It is like the glue that harmonizes all the flavors together.

Sesame seed buns are popular here too. They were popularized by the McDonalds as part of their Big Mac campaign 40+ years ago. It is very visually appealing and adds the "class" to an otherwise plain bun as well imparting it a faint nuttiness. Toasting the buns improves the burger texture as a whole, giving much needed crunchiness to otherwise very soft textures.

The sourness of butter pickles helps cut the richness of the beef and also provides freshness and crunchiness. It helps break down the monotony of having the same strong savory flavors over and over and gives the taste buds something else to focus on.

I really like your burger. It has a lot of elements that go well together. Biting into one would have a nice crunchy and soft texture, and chewing on it would bring a multitude of complementary flavors.

I started roleplaying as a kid in Yahoo Chat Rooms back when User-Defined Rooms were a thing. I really shouldn't have been there back then honestly, but this was before age limits were enforced on the internet. Think like late 1990s/early 2000s when most people still had dial-up internet.

There were two main roleplaying hubs in Yahoo: Arts and Entertainment ( which would later become Ayenee ) and Roleplaying Games. I frequented the latter more.

The User-Defined Rooms allowed one to name a chat room - and people would join and roleplay in that setting. Usually, it's a tavern.

It's not much different from a normal chat-room-style IC roleplay. Posts were short, not very descriptive, maybe three sentences at most. Writers were of varying skill level and disposition. And busy chatrooms ended up being chaotic.

I primarily played a young apprentice mage when I finally started to roleplay, mostly cause I enjoyed magic - specifically fire magic. My tastes were very simple back then. Aha.

My foundational years there involved an absurd amount of combat roleplay, both T1 and T2-based. I specialized in what would later be formalized as T1 Mild/Moderate Powers. I didn't really do the whole T1 PC (Powered Character, which is like godly entity level) back then because it all sounded dumb to me like someone summoning up a literal black hole and somehow surviving the summoning.

I remember people arguing about quantum physics in regard to T1 PC back then and being all "wow" and "amazed" as a child only to realize a decade later that they were bullshitting the entire time. 8D

Anyway, the reason I did a lot of combat was a combination of things. One was that I just liked combat, not the competitive nature of it, but more the mechanics - I loved seeing how powers interacted and worked. I loved writing tension and racing thoughts because every post effectively spans only one or two seconds.

The other reason - the main one probably - was that there were just assholes in chatrooms that liked to pick fights, which is how I ended up picking up both T1 and T2 combat styles. Blocking and ignoring unfortunately wasn't a thing back then, especially if the situation came up in roleplay.

Most of the assholes did T2, which is a chat-based speed-typing style of combat: 7 words to attempt an attack, 10 words to connect with it, and 7 words to dodge/block an attack. T1 meanwhile is what you expected out of turn-based roleplay - you write an attempt, the opponent writes a defense and attacks back, repeat.

Unluckily for them, I actually had formal training in typing in school - literal typing classes. I can hit 120+ wpm back then because we had games meant to improve our typing speed that we did almost every other day. Sooooo....yeah. Unfortunately, these people are also the stubborn kind, and I got accused of copy-and-pasting my attacks and defenses in T2 often, so I learned to make my attacks unique too.

Funnily enough, the Yahoo roleplaying community taught me a lot about "speak softly and carry a big stick." You would not believe how many people are there just to make others miserable through roleplay. It's kinda sad.

Eventually, I moved on to go-gaia, which would later become GaiaOnline, and that's where I did the majority of my roleplay before Tumblr.

I have so many Gaiaonline / Gmail accounts because I insist on having an account per character. I'm not much different about Tumblr. >_>;;

(( Slice-of-life is my go-to for roleplay. I love roleplaying characters just living out their routine and trying to figure out daily life. Chi's probably my main example with her fairly predictable routine.

Chi's a little special in the sense that the discrepancy between what she finds important and what others find important is always a fun space to explore, especially in her increasingly dystopic modern world..
