in college there are only two moods:
1. i can do this! after outlining everything i need to do, it doesn’t seem so bad. in fact it’s very methodical and easy to follow and i can do it.
2. oh my god its happening. its the end for me. i might as well be dead. everything is due now. i was put on this earth to suffer. i have two essays due in 45 seconds and all ive eaten today is half a goldfish cracker. i can only feel pain

- started reading Life of Pi - finished sociology research design proposal - started literature review, annotated 2/4 articles - completed notes and for midterm on tuesday - watched film for law assignment
Can we talk about how Captain Marvel depicted a high tech empire destroying people’s homes and when those people tried to fight back, depicting them as the villains?
AND, this empire takes in people from other planets to harness their talents but also removes their entire history by meddling with their minds. It hurts its own people when they try to end the wars.

Sometimes you need to get real with yourself. Don’t pretend those tabs of youtube videos and fanfiction take precedence over that maths homework you need to get done. Don’t tell yourself you’ll get up early and do it, because chances are, your alarms will go off and you’ll snooze it automatically. Then right before the dreaded fourth period you will be stressed to no end and you’ll feel the feeling. You know, the feeling. When you can genuinely feel the list of tasks and responsibilities build up on your shoulders. That stationery will do nothing to save your grades if you don’t actually use it to make your revision materials. Don’t click onto youtube as a study break and find that 3 hours and only 4 pages of reading later, the glare of the screen gets a little blurry when you look at the time and look at your to do list with your priorities highlighted. I don’t care how much self control you think you have, or how much discipline you think you’ve honed, because when you make the decision to put of work that needs to get done and you’re relying on this new found immense self discipline that future you will just suddenly obtain, you know you’ve already lost. And it’s a double loss because not only have you lost to laziness and short term ‘happiness’, future you has lost to stress and possibly even not getting the grades or the qualifications you could’ve gotten that would’ve led you to take the path you’ve wanted to take. So please, for the love of your future self, get it done now.

• 16.03.2019 • two completely different mornings, unfortunately spent the same way! yesterday and today have been pretty much consisting of cursing and slowly dying of boredom.
i can assure you that for the rest of the day i will not touch or look at anything that has to do with this social psychology course. perhaps i will spend that time studying some Russian or ‘procrastinating’ a.k.a. actually enjoying this Saturday afternoon!

18.11.18 // Healing 💪🏻
Although I had a great week I also managed to hurt my shoulder during one of my workouts, so I’ve spent my weekend on the couch. I’ve also turned to yoga for stretching because until my muscles heal completely I will not be able to push myself during my workouts (or do any workouts at all) 😂
