Anybody else remember “Wag The Dog”?

"I want you to hold it between your knees." So, is it just me, or is covfefe basically the death rattle of Western Civilization? We are mercilessly mocking our self admitted sex offender president over a simple typo on possibly the least meaningful social media site currently available. Or is it just a typical venting of pressure, and the meta-attention being given to it is the veneer of distraction keeping us from dealing with the "real issues"? Or maybe, the fact that our sex offender in chief has such a thin skinned ego bubble makes this the most -- perhaps even, ONLY -- effective weapon against his asshattery? Long story short, I'm angry, I'm confused, and I'm listening to Warren Zevon's "Splendid Isolation" a dozen times a day. And at the risk of continuing to beat a dead horse... Why does everything have to manifest as "Person A has done a Bad Thing! Let us all now Hate Them Forever!"? Can't we just agree that being a cockdouche is bogus, all of us try to be better, and gently correct people who stray instead of immediately escalating a paper cut to a guillotine?
