‘Beach Bum’ -

Sun rays, broken glass, Size ups and loose women, Never quite loose enough, The winners keep winning, The chasers keep chasing, The chase is better than the catch, It keeps me living, The sun on my face, The waves gleaming, My troubles worsen, My cares decreasing, No love for the idle, But who cares, It’s beach season.

‘Incel’

Oh sweet angel dancing in the distance, who are you tonight? A beckon so bright, an oasis, parting the night, On the stroll under a street light, Would you like to come home to my mothers basement tonight? I feel I know you, damaged like me, Someone who will love me, for a small fee, Dragons teeth and a smell that radiates heat to my face, Infections, desperation with tracks, I hope no one finds out and the balloon stays intact.

‘The Wonderer’

Living life between the sun and moon, Between light and dark, Not committed to either, Looking to help, lost and confused. Catching doe’s and letting them go, A wolf among sheep, A lamb amongst wolves, Catching smiles between rain drops, A pray drive weakened by visions of Christ, A poison in my heart I can’t let out, Killing me slow. Cigars on the beach as I sit alone, No friends, no family, No subjects, no throne, No passion, no goal, No happy home, A weight getting heavier to hold, A bitterness I can’t let go, A heart bleeding out because it’s been closed too tight, The current drifts as does my mind, Sifting through the sand, Seeing what I can find, The wind kisses my face as I forget time, The sound of a woman slamming her car door, As I focus in on the sounds of the birds once more. From tree to tree little birds flee, My meditation is cut short, As life returns to me.

‘Slaves and Masters’

I caught you again, Put my hand on your throat to squeeze, You spit in my face, But yet I still release. Growing tired of being a merciful man, All I ever wanted was to live life as I stand, Surviving within four corners, Broken, tired, and lost. Rooted in a time I’m not sure existed, And the time it has cost. I should have took what was mine, And not let it go, Disassociation is the only friend that I know, Living safely in a world I created in my head, But regret whispers softly while I lay in my bed, The demon of sedation I have slain, But a demented soul still renders me insane, Restricted habits and stuck in my ways, I now live the life of the man that I hate, I had a plan to get out of this place, But it’s all I know now, And I have food on my plate.

‘Disassociation’

Standing around trying to catch a vibe that will help me heal, But I can’t come in, Only look through the windowsill, Rooted in the past, Or denied a future, I’m not sure which. The present is the most painful, So my mind tends to drift.

‘Narcissus’

Spoiled child Narcissus, Man child prick, Artificial charm that wears out quick, Resentments and deficiencies that make a man sick, Always finding a way out, No storms to brave, Always an excuse, And he’ll never cave, Two steps ahead, Both feet in his grave, Always a plan, Always a plot, Won’t give a little, unless he gets a lot. As time passes by, And his teeth turn to rot, He’ll look back and realize, Nothing is what he got.

‘Childhood’

Knot in my chest, Maybe if if I cry he’ll stop, Reborn hiding tears with laughter, And fear with violence, Guilt, seclusion, sedation, Hoping for a dream where they love me.

‘Alternator’

I’m a cog in a machine you despise but oil, Pigeonholing me in the skin of the other, Always looking for a slip of tongue that proves you right, I’m stiff, I stammer, You’re charismatic and fluid, I’m grounded as you fly but you never look down, To see me cheering for you, While you’re happy I’m not around.

‘Silver Spoon’

Privileged girl talking about trap music, And the blunt smoke you swirl, Acting hard telling me your old school ways, Makes me wonder what were your bad days, I smile, I nod, I listen, that’s true. If you had nowhere to go, what would you do? Ribs showing, adolescence youth, Knives in my coat, frost bite on my feet, I won’t appropriate you, Don’t tell me about the street.
