Katherine ‘Katie’ Li was born on June 3rd, 1990 to a banker and a seamstress in Queens, New York where they lived more than comfortably. They had a home, two cars and her older brother was enrolled in a very prestigious private school, she was expected to follow in these footsteps of course. From a young age, they’d had her in piano lessons, speech classes and even started having her take cooking lessons as well. They wanted the best for their daughter and she appreciated it a lot, though often times she would feel pressured to be perfect. What drove her to move to Korea was during her first year college, she had a choice of studying abroad and so she did, finding her love for secular music and auditioning for YMJ Entertainment at the time and becoming the main vocalist of girl group SPICED. She has since turned to the artistry of makeup, having acquired her cosmetology license and shows her work off on instagram for fans to see.

Lee Minyoung, born in Incheon, South Korea but around the age of seven, she did homestay in Australia for five years thus having a multicultural upbringing. She found music at a young age, her favorite artists having always been Beyonce, Alicia Keys and power vocalists alike. She asked her homestay parents to enroll her in vocal lessons which they did and from there it was history. At the tender age of thirteen, she became a trainee at SM Entertainment but would find herself to be very unhappy as the process went on. Eventually she moved to DM Records in 2008 and debuted as one of their first soloists that same year at the rip age of fifteen. She now focuses more on her vocals than she does her dance, whereas she debuted as a dancing vocalist and her fans have stayed faithful since.

“Is this a test?” The girl - Moxie - laughs hesitantly before she takes her seat. There’s reporters and fans sprinkled around the venue and she feels a bit on edge. “Uhm, Skia and I - we’re two different identities now. So I don’t want to say that I picked out DM because that isn’t what happened. My music, which is where Skia steps in, drove me there. After all that happened in the past, I think some power out there guided us there. It opened my eyes to world. It let me see what being a soloist would be like.” Moxie grins, taking a second to gather her nerves. “Hopefully, with my new album coming out before the end of the year, I’ll be able to show the world what we could accomplish together.”

「KIM JINHWAN, IKON」as ATOM BOMB'S MAIN DANCER/VOCALIST

Starting off a shy and meek young kid with a love for cartoons, Moon Iseul was dragged into music lessons with his elder twin brother only to find a love for it that bloomed suddenly. This love spanned into taking vocal lessons and dedicating his time to making music and singing. Due to Iseul’s ‘obsessions’ with music and overall nerdy stuff, he was bullied by his peers who would even insult his singing, telling Iseul’s brother that he was a bad singer. This caused a dark period in his life in which he became a shell of his former self. This lasted for two years before he discovered rap, starting to ghost write for underground rappers before joining in the scene himself under the alias ‘Helios’, where he used his music to call out any foul play in the underground. This lasted for 5 years before being scouted by DMREC and dropping the ‘Helios’ alias to take on the stagename ‘Sol’ and eventually debuting as Kalos’ leader and main rapper in 2013.

“Sorry?” young male questioned upon reaching for slim microphone with a view of cameras and those with notepads as well as desktops to take notes. Of course– as he previously misheard, the question was repeated, causing male to freeze before letting out a nervous light chuckle. “I chose DM Records because I believed they could offer me things other places can’t. I honestly just view them as a more mature company that handles things better.” Would it be bad to say he didn’t know how to answer questions like those? Nathan was always one to be with a group of people, those who had encouraged him to current career but his reputation around the company was something people would view as a mix of ‘bad and good’ due to certain habits of causing trouble yet being the one to make others laugh with a clean attitude towards public eye, his choice of company was purely just random. The next question caused male to freeze one more, taking slight hum into the microphone. “I don’t really plan for the future.. I would really love to have international concerts like one back home, though." Or did he really just want the overseas attention?
