Hello everyone, my name is Prashan P. and I am DJ Stolen Words (Elements of Culture Production: B.H.C. Promotions & Design Team).
I was born and raised in Malaysia till I was 16 and then moved to Canada in 2002. In the past, I had segregated my mixing styles into 2 album sections, one called Elements of Culture (Trance, Dance, House, Club) and the other one is Big Boy Raver (Dubstep & DnB). With that in mind, my current sets are a combination of the two. The sets are normally a progression between the BPM's. I start of with a house/ trance track and end the set with a heavy DnB track. As former resident DJ for the Carleton GLBTQ; I have been spinning in many exciting parties all over Ottawa for the past 5 years, from the annual “Uruguayan Embassy Bash” which ended in 2008, Carleton GLBTQ Pride float in 2006, many other GLBTQ events, as well as B.H.C promoted club nights. Currently I am trying to get back with my roots. I have discovered many new and amazing Malaysian Dubstep producers as well as Indian dubstep producers and I am trying to promote their music by any means possible. Most North America Dubstep listeners, haven't heard any of these tunes before, thus bringing something new to the scene. It's my way of giving back to the community.
