If I’m going to go along with something I need it to make sense. There is no logical reason for me to hate myself. It’s harmful to my mental, physical and spiritual health, it benefits those that seek to oppress me and it not longer serves me. I have zero interest in pleasing people in exchange for my own happiness. Prioritize yourself and your opinion of yourself. This is key because if you still want the applause you will continue to perform whether it hurts you or not. But on a deep level for me it’s fuck that and fuck everybody who wants me to suffer and carry shame. I surround myself with good people that match my energy and I work hard to keep toxic people the fuck out my life. Get into yourself and into people that are genuinely into you. Celebrate yourself, do what makes you happy, be extra patient with yourself and if you can’t be patient be kind to yourself. We do live in a world that tries to condition us to hate ourselves. Divorce it. Create your own world. Make your own rules. Be your own Gullah Gullah Island. 💋💋 You are awesome.
