I don't want Disney to turn Loki into a good guy and i am scared 😨
Okay, i've been fearing this for a while too... and Ragnarok kinda opened the door for that which is why i am not a big fan. Like I always say, Loki killed his real father. I don't care if Laufey loved him or not. You just don't kill your fucking parents ahah! What i'm trying to say is, what could be worse than that? There's no going back from it and Marvel/Disney tend to forget somehow.
But... let's analyze this for a sec. Let's not forget that this Loki we're seeing in the show is an alternative version that the TVA captured. Even if they made him the good guy (Hopefully NOT), it's still not the original Loki. The Loki we know betrays ppl... that's his thing. It's in his nature. If the creators respect this... i am expecting Loki to betray them in the end of course.
There were also rumors about a romance in the show. Again, they're rumors. But if Marvel HAS to keep on FORCING romantic relationships in their stories, it's the same thing; Loki has to betray their lover in the end or else it's just out of character.
This is why we love this character so much because even when he's a God, these flaws are what makes him human, and makes us, the audience, connect with him and love him.
It was a very decent first episode. I have hope.
If you noticed how he stopped caring about the infinity stones once he realized they didn't mean shit or more than a paperweight in there, you also must've noticed that after that, he understood that that place was the most powerful in the universe and... what a coincidence that Loki "casually" stops trying to escape after that, huh?
My theory is... he now wants control of it.
Or maybe he wants to go back to where he failed and make it right. (His way of course. Mayhem, chaos etc. To actually win.)
We're obviously going to see all the mess he's made throughout the years. He'll possibly be going against himself but... in the end.. Loki does everything for selfish purposes. So what does he get from "helping" the TVA? Revindication? Sounds useless to me. He craves power. He will want to get much more out of it so...
