Another hypno thing that I really like is the "forget what you're doing" trigger. It's not for every hypnotee, but with the ones that it clicks for, it's a truly special effect.
Generally I find it's best linked to something short and easy. If you don't intend to train your sub with it, a clicker, a snap, or a clap might work, but the association there can be weak. I like physical contact. Poking your subject's nose. Squeezing its chest. Tugging and releasing its collar. Something that catches the attention. And in this case, doesn't give it back.
Then, the effect. Just, forget what you're doing. All the balls your mind was juggling, drop them. Let go and lose your train of thought. With a lot of subs you might need to establish something to replace their thoughts. Empty obedience or a tranced high is tempting, but I find thematic patterns more fun, personally. Flashing lights or sparkles. A vivid shade of purple. An elaborate spiral. The mind can occupy itself with visualization for the critical moment.
Anyway. I love triggers that can be used casually. Stuff that doesn't need to fill the room when it's used. And this type of thing does that beautifully.
