Henry's capacity for malicious action is the funniest part of the game, personally. Henry impersonated the literal devil to traumatize a drunk painter with Catholic guilt just so his buddy could have the guy's job, and he was Thrilled to be doing all of this. The thing about Istvan is that he did Not know what he was getting into when he decided to bully the kid. Henry has no political motivations for being a nuisance. He just does it for love of the game. Henry is gaslighting people like it's a sport. It's recreational. Henry's ability to bullshit his way into or out of almost any situation is unparalleled. Man read one book and successfully convinced someone he was an Italian sommelier. He joined an enemy army and managed to befriend his commander, solve a murder, and get promoted after like two days. He's a polite, pleasant young man on the exterior and it gets him so far. Istvan could never dream of getting on that level. He got captured immediately after his scheme fell apart and had to be broken out by his boyfriend. Henry is escaping from prison every twenty minutes and he does it with a single knife and no pants. Istvan is the guy with schemes that are simply too complex. He's no good at bullshittery. He tells Henry "you and I are alike" but he'll never be on the same level as that little bastard. Istvan is a chronic plotter but Henry just does it all for shits and giggles. "Why not" is his sole reason for agreeing to things. Random crazy people pitch an overly complicated job to him and he just goes ok I'm in. At some point Istvan HAD to have realized what he's gotten himself into. Medieval John Wick decided you're his sworn nemesis. Buddy, it's not looking good. The fact that his first reaction is to laugh out loud when the kid shows up to kill him is so fucking funny. Like yeah. Fair. Should have seen that coming. Took it like a champ though. He's like ahhhhh you got me. You got me. Fair enough.
