The only reply she offered in response to the girls comment was a soft huff, resting her hands on her hips as she just stood in front of her, glaring. Her expression shifting from blank to angry as she wondered how the girl could even smile in their situation. Every time she thought about smiling she thought about her poor sister who must be at home, alone, with nothing but their baby brother to take care of.

"Can I help you?" Camille spat, annoyed.

Mavis honestly doesn't understand why she's trying to think of something but she thinks about it then speaks again "so the reaping....um yeah no it's probably a bad question to ask with this situation" she looks down then stepped back a bit giving the girl some space " I would should have done that sooner...." she kinda feels bad because she's pretty sure she already annoyed the girl infront of her.

He had just finished a conversation with a potential sponsor when someone bumped into him. He turned around only to be met with Twelve's girl. He tried to remember her Reaping, and it was actually a struggle for him; must not have been anything special. Certainly not as memorable as Katniss' the year before.

Then, that nervous smile. There was no point in making enemies yet, but at least he could tell some easy prey when he saw it.

Might be best to let her live until last to assure victory.

He put on a smile as he shook his head. "It's alright, where are you trying to go?" he asked.

Mavis couldn't tell is he's being nice or sizing her up but she decided to believe he was being nice "um well to be honest I don't know but first I guess I should probably try find my mentor but then again I don't exactly feel like having to deal with him right now." She didn't exactly think about what she was saying before she said it of course but then she realized she may have said the wrong thing "I mean I'm definitely grateful to have haymitch as my mentor" she smiles awkwardly again but she knew anyone could tell that was lie.

She sighed then quickly changes the topic before any questions could be asked before the haymitch comment "um so you're from district 1?" She kinda watched the reaping on the train but she was still kinda zoned out thinking about the reaping. But she can kinda recall at least most of the tributes even just a little bit
