i think that’s completely understandable. while i’m sure you love your straight friends it’s understandable to want to connect on a level with someone who understands what you go through in discovering yourself and overcoming struggles you face in a rather heteronormative society. i have a lot of straight friends, and i love them a lot! but there are some conversations i can’t have with them that i can have with a friend who might be LGBT. it may sound “bad” written on paper, but the want for a personal conmunity of lgbt friends is natural and i dunno i feel like it could even be expected

maybe try finding lgbt friends online? that’s the easiest place to find new friends period, i think. maybe even try joining a gsa club at your school (if you have one) and see where it goes from there? i think you’ll naturally find more lgbt friends as you go through life, especially if you find yourself in lgbt safe spaces
