Getting into the big paint-battle scenes now - we covered almost every inch of this set, everyone on set took turns painting shapes and pictures.

woke up at 5:30 this morning to watch (QC) a showing of #BLANKandBOW at the El Capitan :) it was my 1st time at the theater!, and it was pretty amazing to have the historic theater all to ourselves. Tomorrow is the first public showing of the film after #FROZEN. Here's hoping for a good turnout *fingers crossed*

The world for Vinylmations was mapped above Disneyland - here are early 3D models of where Factory Row is in relationship to the Caves (Pirates), the Flower Fields (Storybook Land), the Mountain Pass (Matterhorn), and our last yet-to-be-revealed location (which is closer to Space Mountain).

We're excited to later explore the Vinylmation world version of Grand Canyon, Main St, and the Jungle Cruise. Not to mention what exists outside of the park walls!

Stumbled across this behind-the-scenes video from Amy Barseghian talking with one of our very talented animators, Alfonso Estrada, during his work on the Flower Fields.

We made the decision early on to not cast new molds of the Vinylmation figures over fully-articulable stop-motion rigs, something normally done with stop-motion characters; we instead wanted to stay as true as possible to the actual figures - supporting the idea that anyone at home could pick up their Vinylmations and create their own stop-motion story...

So, we used a lot of camera tricks to make these characters truly emote - and considering they lack knees, elbows, movable waist, and, in the case of our 3 main characters, facial features such as eyes or mouths, we're very happy with the level of emotion in BLANK :) We have our amazing animators to thank for that.
