Who says you have to sit in a stool? Find creative ways to use furniture other than for the obvious purpose they were made for. I normally use this rustic stool to hold my cable box and gaming systems...but it could make as a nice side table as well.

I visited Cottage by the Sea while in Jacksonville, FL. The prices are a little high and it would have been a pain and quite expensive to figure out shipping but there were a ton of great items-great for inspiration. I really wanted this adorable table that was made with the foot pedal of an old sewing machine. They had re-painted it to make it look shabby chic. Love it!

They have some pretty cool items at reasonable prices...like this Antique Black Metal Trunk for $180- it's a great place to store your clutter and you can also use it as a coffee table or as an accent piece at the foot of your bed.

My dad never throws anything away and over the years, I’ve come to find that what I used to think was a mound of junk in the garage is actually an antique gold mine. His love for antiques was definitely genetically passed on to me.Â
