I think its important for the conversation abt gender expectations to be upheld, but specifically pointing to a random trans woman on the site upset that shes being called male socialized, and using that as justification to be mad at "them" (assuming you are talking about every trans woman on the site, and not this specific user) is unhelpful. The language is incredibly flawed for the point youre trying to make. Of course a trans woman is going to be uncomfortable being called "male", even if theres another word attached to it- especially if it doesnt denote transition.

I do not care if it is hurtful to hear. it is not my problem that someone hasn't come to terms with their past. I don't care if it's hurtful for white people to hear that they benefited from and likely perpetuated racism growing up even if they aren't racist now and I don't care if it's hurtful to hear that those raised as boys benefited from and likely perpetuated misogyny even if they aren't misogynists now. if you aren't that thing now there is no reason this should be anything but something to go "point taken" to when we are talking about something as globally societally pervasive as misogyny. if you hear about this and feel like it's an original sin that you will never get over instead of something that you just need to consciously acknowledge as having happened there is no difference between you and white people that curl up into a ball and cry if you even insinuate that they might still have racist beliefs that one has from being raised white.
