I just learned about the latest ICE incident (just two weeks ago they were on the news in Germany bc an 85-year old german man died in ice custody also in texas btw what the hell is going on in fucking texas) and saw the video of one of the man‘s sons making a speech saying he came across the video of that incident and didn’t even see his father in it but recognized him by his voice while he was on the floor crying i‘m genuinely sick that photo of him over his birthday cake too I’ve been bawling for 20 mins i do not understand how this keeps going on??? How did the world move on from the Epstein files how did the world move on from all the other ICE victims how did the world move on from Gaza etc etc this is the most insane timeline in what feels like decades - and even my grandpa who lived through the cold war in east germany commented a while ago that he feels the world is much more darker currently than back then - like if this were a movie plot it would end with some characters saving the world from these evil villains but in real life there’s really just…. I think not being able to afford to eat when you are hungry even though the world is overflowing with food waste is radical. Millions of people being deprived of food and medicine and willingly put through famines even though there are hundreds of trucks waiting a few kilometers away is extremely radical. Choosing to let cancer take its course right away to not put your family into eternal medical debt is radical. Having a racist misogynist homophobic transphobic pedophile as a world leader who also has access to nuclear codes is radical. NOT the REACTION to all that. People are getting into physical fights over these little AC units in stores at this point bc most central and northern european apartments don’t have them and people have to buy them with their own money (those who CAN afford them now but many can’t) where so many already live paycheck to paycheck anyway plus at least in Germany electricity is not cheap and these devices take up a lot omg how is there still some psychopaths left saying they "love" this weather???
