ORIGINS: Hanamura, Japan

AGE: 49

STATUS: DECEASED (?)

SUMMARY: Known for her incredible swordsmanship and deadly accuracy, previously the bodyguard to the two sons of the Shimada clan as well as their mentor growing up. She was killed in combat when the elder of the Shimada brothers turned to kill the younger. Reports say she stepped between the two fighting and was killed by the elder's blade.

NOTES: There have been recent reports throughout Japan and Nepal of a strange ethereal being coming forth and helping people in exchange for current information about the Shimada brothers.

In short this is my way of explaining why Genji has one dragon and hanzo has two: When Hanzo originally tried to kill Genji, Machiko stepped in and tried to stop him. He killed her and Genji gave one of his spirit dragons to her to keep her alive.
