To explain why the formatting took so long: It seems like there wasn't enough oversight when contributors turned in final pieces, because there were lots of mistakes and important things missing for a significant number of the zine pieces. We had to reach out to many contributors to fix mistakes (typos, graphical errors, wrong dimensions, etc) and resubmit their pieces, but since the zine was delayed so long, there were quite a few contributors that were hard to reach. Some contributors had to be contacted on other social media platforms, some contributors had personal things going on (work, health issues, moving, etc) that delayed their responses, some contributors had lost the original files for their piece and had to do their best with only the final version of their file… the list goes on.

In addition to contributors who had to resubmit their pieces, the credits information was not collected for all contributors, and the delay meant that several contributors had changed names and/or social media handles, so that information had to be collected/recollected from almost every contributor as well. Because there were so many people who had to be contacted, there was a much higher chance that at least one person would have a delay in their response, and any delay from an individual person meant a delay for the entire project.

Contributors were also encouraged to include codes in their pieces, and the mods had decided to include a section at the end of the zine for solutions to all of the codes, as well as English translations for all text that isn't in (modern) English. However, only some of the code solutions provided by the contributors had been saved and organized by the mods, and because of the delays with the zine, most contributors with codes in their pieces could not remember what the solutions were. This meant that we had to go through every page of the zine, search each piece for codes, and manually decode them.

It was a grueling process to work through all the issues, and there were many, many times where it seemed like solving one problem unearthed even more problems that also needed to be solved. The good news is that we are very close to completion of the zine formatting, and are mostly just waiting on resubmissions/approvals from a few more contributors.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to post an updated shipping schedule at this time. All of the merch and shipping stuff is in Pudgy's possession, and they have been having a health emergency for a few months now and have been hospitalized several times. As of the time I'm writing this they've told me they hope to be out of the hospital soon as long as their health issues don't flare up again, but unfortunately there is no way to know for sure if that will happen, and I haven't received any other news about their health or about merch/shipping. Because of all the unknowns and things out of my control, I'm not comfortable making a new shipping schedule for the zine until Pudgy's health is more stable and they are out of the hospital.

As penance for the delays, and as proof of zine progress, I will attach a few zine pages below.

I'm very very sorry for the delays - organizing and handling things on the backend of this zine has been... challenging. But with continued effort, things have been coming together, and we're getting close to finally finishing this thing and getting it out to the world. The talented Alonso Ramirez Ramos (Splindehorse Toons & A24 "Hazbin Hotel") posted the animatic of "Dungeons, Dungeons & More Dungeons".

Ramos also saw the development for the pilots for "Primos" and "StuGo" after his work at "Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway" ended.

10 years ago today, the culmination of dozens of hours of puzzle-solving and collaboration across the globe concluded with the discovery of a statue in the Oregon woods. I was lucky enough to be one of the few people who was actually present at this historic event in Gravity Falls history, and unlucky enough to become the primary witness in the statue's devastating removal less than 24 hours later.

In honor of the 10th anniversary of the Cipher Hunt, I'm posting rare photos of the famous statue and the events that transpired!

Note: I did not take the statue. He was removed by the police due to a property dispute. I was simply there at the same time and documented as much of it as I could.

To begin, the journey up the hill and what it looked like at the time:

Note: Bill's hat was forcibly detached by the man who was hired to remove him from the property. There is a photo of me holding it, but I promise I did not break or steal his precious hat!

As they were leaving, those of us who were at the scene all sang "We'll Meet Again" in hopes that our words may ring true. At this point, we did not know whether or not Bill would ever be seen again.

And finally, a couple hours and some ice cream later, we reconnected with Bill at the Reedsport Police Station where he briefly took up residence before finding his permanent home in Confusion Hill. This was, as far as I know, the last time his hat was seen.

My participation in the Cipher Hunt opened the doors to my career and is still something I consider one of my life's greatest defining moments. I cannot put into words how honored I am to have been part of the Hunt and how grateful I am to Alex Hirsch for creating something that made Gravity Falls real. I will never forget how it felt to have my flashlight beam pierce through the trees and land on the tip of that concrete hat for the first time. I WAS Dipper Pines in that moment.

Bill can still be found at his permanent home at Confusion Hill, where you can visit him and pay your disrespects.

The Disney Books booth showcased more pages for "The Art Of Gravity Falls". The display shows pages for the series premiere "Tourist Trapped". 🌈🌲⁉️

Warning: 1 Squishmallow was harmed in the making of this project. Another little project I'd been wanting to do since last year was to take one of the Mystery Shack's giant Bill plushes and turn in him into a less talkative, more punchable version, so I present to you: SquishaBill! I removed the foam block, the sound box, and the wires in his arms and legs, and made sure I re-stuffed his limbs so they weren't extra noodley.

I wanted to add his scar, so I ordered some shatter (haha) hologram vinyl and hand appliquéd it with a rainbow thread you can absolutely hardly see after all that work. That was what took the longest.

The main thing with this project is that I wanted him to keep his sharp figure, so rather than just filling him with fluff, I got some .5 in memory foam, cut it to the shape of the block I'd pulled out, and put one layer in the front and one layer in the back. Then I used about 3/4 of a thrifted and gutted rainbow red panda Squishmallow to fill up the rest. The result is a Bill you can satisfyingly punch or squeeze to death!

Can't believe it's been 4 years since we learned this bastard's fate! He should've stayed dead.*
