I havent posted anything in ages, so heres a little something. Heres me with all the lovely ladies from the newsletter that helped me with my research paper! On Thursday, they treated me to lunch and sweets. :)

My new favorite restaurant in Japan is a hole in the wall, run by an awesome guy who can make amazingly delicious food and speaks English, to boot! We spoke mostly in Japanese since I'm trying to get the most of this trip, but having a back-up really helps with some of the harder points. I got the house special, which is okonomiyaki with pork, shrimp, and rice. SO. OISHII.

JUST LOOK AT THOSE PRECIOUS BABIES.

Also, people online actually complained about the "lack of jellyfish" at this establishment. There were at least a million and they were all BEAUTIFUL.

Manta Ray: Muh.

Probably my favorite fishies in the aquarium. They are all orange with a perfect purple square on each side. :3

I would like to emphasize the fact that that fish is at least twice as large as that child.

Btw, these are commonly referred to as "cappy-sama."

Ring-tailed something or other. I prefer "stocky red panda with a weird-lookin' snout."
