April 2023 • Made a stop at Spill the Tea while running a couple errands. This spot used to be called Queen Tea but it’s made a change for the better! This spot was dead when I got there but it has so many arcade games to play! They have some of my favorites like Pinball, Mortal Kombat, and Pac Man to name a few. I changed up my drink order miraculously! I almost went with a lychee rose but decided on trying something new. I went with the Okinawa! Best way I can describe it as like a really light coffee with caramel. I didn’t regret it either, it was delicious!

March 2023 • it’s becoming a tradition to try a new boba place around the valley every Sunday. Most recently tried Tiger Sugar with T’keya. I stuck with my typical lychee this time in popping pearl form in a lightly sweetened black tea. It was perfect! Black tea can get a little too bitter for my taste but theirs was spot on.

March 2023 • On my way back from dropping off my cat, Louie, for his teeth cleaning I stopped at Raw Bean Coffee House since it was right by the vet. Their locations are pretty out of my way so I don’t frequent there very often. However I do try to stop by when I get the chance because their specialty drinks are always super good! Every month they change up the menu with a different theme. This months is Animal Crossing! I got the “Nook’s Cranny” a honey pistachio latte. And since I haven’t been back in awhile I was happy to see they expanded their menu with some breakfast burritos and croissant sandwiches. Originally I wanted to opt for their veggie breakfast burrito but they were out so I went with the bacon, egg, potatoes, and cheese. Decent quality and portion size! Now for the drinks, I am not an everyday coffee drinker. I am easily caffeinated. Ever since I first tried their drinks they have always been really strong, for my taste. And hell, maybe that’s the right amount for a regular coffee drinker that I’m sure people can appreciate. I’m usually pretty solid with a small or when I opt for a medium I’ll keep it refrigerated for a second day (I prefer my coffee iced most of the time). But man, if I drink all that I get pretty cracked for the day lol! They do not skimp and always have some gourmet coffee on deck.

March 2023 • On a whim, on my way back from Bestbuy, I decided to stop at 7Buddah Tea house & desserts. It was early afternoon on a Sunday so you could tell the baristas would rather be elsewhere but the service was still quick and friendly. When it comes to boba I’m a sucker for any honeydew or lychee flavors. Come to find they have a specialty lychee drink called Lychee Love of course! I think they originally asked if I wanted the fruit or the jellies in it but I noticed they ended up putting both in! The base is a jasmine green tea and the lychee flavor is all you need to add fruitiness to balance out some of the green tea bitterness. And that cute little heart stopper to top it all off, I am sold! Def planning more trips there in the future. One last thing, I learned Lychee is pronounced LEE-CHEE not LIE-CHEE lmao! You learn something everyday!

February 2023 • Another tasty snack my mom brought back from the Philippines. These choco mango crisps were the perfect amount of sweet! As I’ve mentioned I’m more of a savory gal but when the sweets are just right, I indulge. I like a good cronch as well. You can tell it’s a quality snack when it doesn’t give you a tummy ache or heart burn.

February 2023 • If you know, you know. Semitas de piña are a staple in many latin countries. My sweet jet setter mom has been bringing me back awesome treats from her travels. These definitely bring back some nostalgia from Honduras.

February 2023 • When I saw this at the grocery store I knew I had to try it. It’s the Organics brand from Smith’s (or Kroger). This garden like pizza consists of goat cheese, squash, spinach, and the under layer is a beet sauce. The sauce and squash gave it sort of a sweeter taste but the bold creamy saltiness of the goat cheese gave it a good balance. Originally I was going to try to mash the goat cheese around the pizza to make it more evenly spread, hence the fork marks, but that plan didn’t really work out. However, I found it to be just fine eating it as is with the goat cheese clusters. I’ll admit I got this on sale for like $4 and it cooked in about 10 minutes. I will be buying more of these!

February 2023 • a note worthy local ice cream from Red Button Vintage Creamery. They literally mix in huckleberry pie crust and berries into it that complements the vanilla ice cream. It was superb! I think I’m a little biased because I always opt for strawberry cheesecake and banana cream pie ice creams so this huckleberry pie fit the bill nicely. Now I’ll let you in on a little secret I had no idea about, on how you can get one of these tubs for free! My lovely roommate let me know that you can sign up to receive a free tub of Red Button ice cream through Macey’s. Macey’s is one of Utah’s local grocery stores that’s been around forever and highly underrated. This offer only comes around once a year as a free gift for your birthday!

February 2023 • Posting although I haven’t made any tea with these yet. I wanted to show how pretty these herbs are. My sweet mom gave these to me as extra she brought back from Honduras. These are from Copan, using only natural herbs and flowers from this beautiful city in the mountains known for its Mayan ruins. On the right is ginger and lemon and to the left is mint and water willow.

February 2023 • Had a girls night with my bestie Kaia and roomie Cortney! Both are lovely gals that are very important to me. We decided to pop a bottle of bubbly. This time was Zonin Prosecco. A bottle imported from Italy and poured into my cute iridescent flutes. We added a splash of cranberry juice to make mimosas.

February 2023 • Mom invited us over for some Honduran chicken tacos. She made the tortillas from scratch rolled em up and air fried them. Topped with pickled cabbage, a tomato consumé type sauce and queso cotija. I can’t resist my moms traditional cooking!

January 2023 • My sister gave me a cookie making kit for Christmas to make peppermint sugar cookies. My roommate and I mixed up the recipe and put the peppermint inside the cookies instead of on top but they still turned out yummy!

January 2023 • All winter I’ve been craving a nice cup of hot chocolate. Not sure why I’m barely getting around to it after the holidays. As I’ve mentioned I’m not big into sweets since they mess up my stomach but I figure a cup of cocoa calls for some other sweet treats. Threw some butter on the banana bread I made the other day. The butter purely because I saw photos with butter included on banana bread slices in recipes lmao! I’d say it adds another dimension, worth a try. Then we got some ginger snap cookies that have been sitting in my pantry for way too long. Third we have some butter cookies that were gifted from my aunt and uncle. And lastly I added some reishi mushroom powder to the Swiss miss cocoa mix and I think I like the reishi powder more than the hot chocolate haha! Yummy treats worth an achey stomach once in awhile!

January 2023 • Only two weeks in and this year has already been a fucking wild ride! I hope this is an indication of exponential abundance, growth, and connection for the rest of the year. Made some gluten free banana bread including some chocolate chips with my roommate Cortney while we caught up on our holiday shenanigans. Happy new year!!
