“oh shut it.” denki whined, turning back to you. “shes so cool..” he sighed, twirling a blonde lock between his fingers.

sero simply shrugged— much for interested in his orange. “I mean I guess..”

behind you, sero held up a paper with a large ‘zero’ written in black marker to which denki maturely stuck his tongue out too.

“oh?” he quirked a brow, a sharp smirking growing against his lips. “ya’ been keeping track, huh? my compliments mean that much to you?” he teased— leaning down closer to you, hands resting either side of your desk.

your head shot up, ears hot and lips stuttering. “wha— what are you talking about?! why would I care if you think Im pretty or not?!”

he tilted his head— eyes glinting with something deeper, his yellow locks swaying as he put his hands up in mock surrender. “hey- hey- just teasing! no need to get so worked up!”

“cya’ princess!” denki let out a small giggle, waiting for you to angrily tell him to stop with the ridiculous nickaname

much to iidas dismay, he could most definitely hear you.

iida couldn’t exactly pin point when he started to dislike you.

when you walked in with a ridiculously short skirt, way too much makeup and accessories that definitely weren’t permitted under section five of the student guidebook.

or how your homework was never turned in and a lousy excuse lay in it’s place, your bright phone screen peeking from under desk as you texted whoever kept you so distracted from your classes,

or how you somehow seemed to have a snarky comeback for whenever he tried to correct you, lips pulled up in a teasing smirk and sizing him up.

his brother could properly spot you in a crowd of thousands due to the amount of times he’d complained about you, hands chopping the air aggressively and voice low.

but most of all,

iida hated how much he noticed you.

he hated how he subconsciously packed an extra sheet of blank writing paper or a pen since he knew you’d forgot them before quickly pulling it out his bag with flushed cheeks.

“could I have the answer for number five? I dont get it.”

“no, figure it out yourself.” he chimed, eyes never leaving his paper. “you can do it.”

you blink, the words landing soft in your chest. “..you think?” you shyed.

iida flushed at your unnaturally mall voice, red eyes widening. “of— of course, as class president I believe in all my classmates, no matter how challenging they may be.”

you giggled, “well, I’m very honoured!”

iida couldn’t help the small smile that tugged on his lips.

if laid back was a person it’d be sero hanta.

steady and relaxed, long arms resting comfortably in his pockets, eyes lidded and lips pulled in a lazy grin.

if panic was a person it’d be you.

eyes wide and beady, constantly tripping up over your feet and a permanent stutter— your heart palpitations could be heard from at least a mile away, lips always pulled between your teeth and legs bouncing.

while sero improvised, you planned. while sero mused, you stressed.

“mmm.. don’t panic it’s fine.” he mused, arms resting behind him as he chewed on some chocolate chips.

you screeched, “sero it’s burning! oh my god we’re done for— oh my goodness! we’re gonna get kicked out of ua and our chances of becoming a hero are gonna’ be reduced to nothing but a stupid zero!”

“all our hard work for what?! all we’re gonna’ be known for is burning down the top hero school in japan!”

sero let out a soft laugh, the sound filling the quiet kitchen as his adams apple bobbed. “ya’ know.. you’re cute when y’panic.”

you stilled, “huh.”

“I said you’re cute when you panic.”

it was the truth, sure— sero was teasing you.

the way your eyes somehow widened even more and pupils darted to anywhere but from his emerging smirk or how your brows furrowed and lips parted in pure—

well, sero never really knew what was going on in your mind. he’d wonder in class when president mic would drone on about english, he’d picture your mind a haze of worry and distress— one that he’d love and have the greatest pleasure in soothing.

“wha— why.. why are you flirting with me?! are you serious right now? we’re in a mid life crisis?!”

sero lips formed a chesire grin, eyes gleaming down at you. “hey,” he whispered , voice silk smooth as he pushed himself off the flour ridden counter, treading closer and closer towards your cowering figure.

“my ma’ told me not to lie, especially to a pretty lady I fancy.” he winked.

he wouldn’t of flirted so hard if he knew you’d end up fainting and in one of recovery girls bed.

though, he couldn’t wait to tell you how cute you looked when you slept.
