We are a group of LGBTIQ+ refugees struggling to survive in Sudan. Every day, we face unimaginable persecution, violence, and rejection. On top of this, we are battling severe shortages of food, medical care, and shelter.

Hunger is a daily reality. Many of us go days without food, and medical assistance is nearly impossible to access. Our shelters are small and inadequate, leaving us exposed to harsh conditions. For lesbians, even basic sanitary products are out of reach.

(O7/03/26) Survival is harrowing in Sudan's human rights crisis for everyone, but especially women and queer kinfolk. I have been friends with the camp leader, Abdul, since June of 2025. I am happy to know of his survival but understand and mourn that his people are starving, not living.

At the time of posting, it has been over 24 hours since anyone has eaten. They are at zero funds.

With evidence below, Abdu has informed me that their expenses are nearly 100 USD a day due to scarcity. So, the number he gave was 600 dollars a week. The lowest goal, then, approximately 2400 for one month of food.

Reasonably, I will set their goal at 2800 for the month of July. The nature of these posts, is that as funds are expended, goals are harder to track. But I implore you to donate and share his gfm with some of this info, far and wide if you cannot donate. Please do not ignore when 5 dollars, 10 dollars, 50 dollars can add up to save vulnerable human lives. Black lives still matter. Trans people are real human beings who deserve safety.

I'm nice to kids when I have to interact with them (to the point it annoys me afterwards because what the hell was that, that was out of character for me,)

But like people can say to other adults "god I hate when there's a loud-ass kid being a problem in the middle of a fucking grocery store" y'know?

However, I dont think that's what the original post was about, lemme explain: even if you aren't going up to children and being rude to them (thankfully lol!) by engaging with the idea that children are inherently annoying and that being loud is a burden on general society, you engage with the idea that children are burdens rather than say, actual functioning members of society who are consistently marginalized and abused. Make sense?

And, sorry, calling children "functioning members of society" is funny to me... isn't the whole point of raising a kid to teach them to become a functioning member of society?

Now, my opinion on the best way to fix societal problems would require a lot more cooperation than anyone is capable of, so who knows if anything will actually get better ever,
