tfw you changed your face sprites a million times. There’s no going back now with the new ones, I’ve already started making expressions for them.

wow some of these are bad. Shirou never even got an HD one I was just like “no these are gross don’t even bother” 

The remastered one was scrapped almost instantly because it just looked odd. Enu looks way too young in it.

It's been a while

I feel like a lot of you may think this is dead huh.

Well guess what it's not! From this day foward I will do my best to keep y'all up to dat with the development of DIMI.

Starting now.

Between now and the last update we have made good progress. (Slow but still good)

I have been working on patching up some things in the script and continuing to write. Along with that I have been working with making face sprites, cut scenes, concept art and promotional art.

@frigadae has been working very hard making the overworld tile sets and player sprites, and so far they are turning out very good.

(^^ this was just a test room)

@zktheman​ has been working hard with programming and making the characters come alive. He has the basic movements, collision boxes, screen changes, etc. down and is currently working on interactions and fixing up collisions (because Unity is terrible at that). He has set a deadline for himself in hope of boosting productivity (something I should take in myself tbh)

Yeah things are going slow but that's better than nothing. We are still looking for some helping hands and would more than appreciate it if you could lend some.

Currently looking for:

-overworld spriter(s)

-music and sfx composer(s)

-programmer(s) (we’re using C# in Unity but if you happen to know Java that works too because they’re similar so it won’t be too hard to learn)

-writer(s)/story editor(s) 

-animator(s) (this isn’t entirely necessary but I would love to have animated cutscenes if possible)

Basic story

Dimi is a story about a child named Enu, a girl living an ordinary life. One day, she stumbles upon a strange talking book lost in a park with the power to create anything drawn or written on it. The world around Enu would never be the same after this discovery, with enemies watching in the distance and destruction looming in the horizon.

As Enu, the world rests upon you. Whatever you create or destroy, will determine the outcome of the journey before you.

Now with developing a game I can’t do it alone (or at least it will be very hard to do it alone) We have a small team already but we could use some more hands. Here’s a remastered Enu design. I just fixed the colors a bit so they’re not as obnoxious and bright. (I also may have accidentally made their scarf super long but that’s okay)
