Something that lowkey confuses me about the FNaF fandom is not acknowledging/realizing that Bonnie is mute. The only times weāve seen Bonnie, Nightmare Bonnie, or Jack-o-Bonnie speak are non-canon, if there even are examples for the latter two. He doesnāt talk. The Security Breach vintage cartoons show us their dynamic: Freddy is the mascot and leader, Chica is the silly one, Bonnie is mute and lowkey weird, and Foxy is the villain who later becomes a protag. Notably, every character except Bonnie speaks. I donāt know what about that people donāt get these days. Freddyās had voices. Chicaās had voices. Foxyās pretty much always been voiced.
Bonnieās ONLY claim to speaking is in UCN as Withered Bonnie, and thatās not actually him. Thatās the vengeful spirit giving an imaginary version of him a voice in a nightmare scenario. We canāt take that literally.
I mean, we donāt even get Glamrock Bonnie speaking, but Bonnie and Glamrock Bonnie arenāt the same character so that wouldnāt have mattered for this anyway. (To clarify, Bon-Bon/Bonnie hand puppet, Toy Bonnie, Rockstar Bonnie, Springbonnie, etc. Are not the same as Bonnie. This series is weird with variants but theyāre distinct from Bonnie. Itās like how Mickey Mouse and Kingdom Hearts Mickey Mouse are sort of basically not the same guy despite being also kinda sorta the same character)
Bonnie is mutism representation to me. I will ALWAYS write Bonnie as mute. Heās a guitarist whoās silent and weird, and I love him for that. You donāt need to speak to play a sick riff on the guitar.
