     “Great. Glad we got that settled.” Thunder rumbled ominously outside. Redd’s eyes lifted to the ceiling as the lights flickered on and off. “No…” And in one instance, the power went out with a low hum. She slapped her magazine down on the cushion beside her and placed her hands on her hips. “Well… No power. No electricity. No heat.” She forced an optimistic smile. “Guess I can make us some hot cocoa. The stove is gas, so…” She turned her back on him for a moment and the grin instantly dropped. Redd couldn’t quit obsessing over the fact that Max could barge in any moment and tear her friend to pieces. “Want any marshmallows with it?”

“ Marshmallows are always good.” That was his version of hell yes. Walking over to the couch Arthur sat down, stretching out his long thing legs as he crossed his arms over his abdomen. Spindly fingers wrapping around the cotton of his shirt. “ Do you have a dog?” Arthur asked, head turning quickly as if he was hearing sounds around him.  

Probably more or less a bit sleepy, she walks up behind the other and gently thumps her head on their back. “Mm, have I told you I love you today?”

“ Yes, but you can definitely say it again.” Adam grinned, turning to pull her into his arms.

“Just…” She swallows. “If you hear any howling, don’t open the door.” She didn’t want Max mistaking them for a stranger or burglar–they would be torn to shreds by the time they cracked open the door. Redd turns back to her magazine that she continues to flip through lazily. “There’s, like, some animal on the loose. Rabid or something,” she lied with ease. The storm outside raged on. Rain pelleted against the glass. Lightning flashed beautifully against the charcoal horizon. “Once the storm lets up, I can give you a ride home.” She forces a smile despite her mind dancing around the notion of Max being stuck out in the rain somewhere. “Kay?”

“ Howling, eh?” Arthur questioned as he walked towards the curtains, pulling them aside to reveal darkness outside, lightning occasionally lighting up the sky enough to see. “ I won’t open the door.” Pulling the curtains back into place Arthur smiled. “ Sure would hate to be out there now-” It was warm and comfy inside, much nicer then his home, anyway. 

“My mom and Stacy won’t be home today!” She jammed the key into the lock and turned it promptly. “That means we can drink and play with my new tarot deck. Oh! I gotta show you somethin’!” She bounced into the cluttered apartment that smelled of stale Marlboro’s and fresh cannabis. She dumped the contents of her backpack out onto the kitchen table and grinned from ear to ear. She picked up an old, grimy scalpel from the pile of collections and held it up to the light. “See this? I found some old medical supplies at the abandoned Holy Cross Hospital. All I needa do is clean them up and they’ll be good as new.” She turns to look at them over her shoulder. “…I ever tell you how I wanna be a doctor?”

Ace followed Violet into the apartment, it was- well, small, and somewhat dirty. Squishing down on the couch he threw his backpack from his back, excited to start the night with his friend. Exhaling a sigh he relaxed back, watching the blonde scurry through what was poured out onto the table. “ Are tarot decks... Dangerous? Like a Ouija board?” Ace asked, tilting his head, but alas he was just spoken over by a very excitable Violet, showing him her medical supplies. This caused Ace to screw his nose up heavily. “ The person they cut open with that could’ve had AIDS. I’m not gonna share drinks with you if you have AIDS, Violet.” 

“i hate to be annoying–actually, no i don’t.. but would you mind?” she pleaded.  “which dress? black or blue?”  she lifted both coat hangers.

“ Hmmm...” Atreyu thought, paused, then continued. “ Blue.” He spoke, as if he knew much about women's clothing, when in reality blue was just a color he liked.

     “Yeah! Hey!” She tried her best to look somewhat approachable despite her messy curls from hours of staying up trying to record the talking ghosts at the rock quarry… Turns out it was just a bunch of homeless men squabbling over beer bottle caps.  “Mind if I come in real quick to use your phone, neighborino? I got locked outta my place and I needa call my roommate for the spare key.” She stood on her tip toes  and peered over their shoulder. “Your parents aren’t home, are they?” There was nothing more she hated than ADULTS.

Hayden stood there awkwardly in the doorway, it was late afternoon & Haydens mother was still at work, luckily. She was a sour woman. Hayden hesitated in response, he wasn’t exactly a PEOPLE person & definitely had NEVER had a woman knock on his door and ask to COME IN.                                           “ UH,                                                Yeah, o-of course.              No, mom is still at WORK.”

     She knows for a FACT that she shouldn’t be here, Jorgen had been very specific to NOT talk to Veronica, to not even look at her but… she had done so good as Lady Macbeth that she needs to compliment her goddaughter. However, as Blonda now walks down the corridor she realizes that it was a MISTAKE to walk  down the halls of a high school she didn’t know. “Excuse me,” She says, tapping the young person on the shoulder. “I think I’m LOST, could I receive some assistance?”

As soon as he felt that TAP on his shoulder the young man FLINCHED.  “ Ah!” He exclaimed, jumping backwards in fear that another one of the JOCKS had come to shove him in his locker. “ Uh-” Hayden paused, a look of confusion on his face when he saw an OLD lady. “ Where do you need to go?” Hayden asked.
