I’ve been working on my film skills as of late. It has been a really good experience for me. So far the videos have been promos and interviews but it will still end up being a valuable skill for me in the future. The editing is really pushing my limits. 

Hope everyone had some good church and family time. This usually one of my better days every year because it is about love. I can’t wait to grow up and have my own family traditions.

Again, multiple ways to see this situation.

I have one month left of undergrad and everything feels surreal. Most of the people I started with will graduating this semester and within the next year. I’m beyond grateful for the experience and things I’ve learned about the media industry in the last four years.

Be active in forums outside your profession. Employers need to know if you are a fun person. If a company vets your social media and it makes them think you are boring and just hard to be around then they will not interview you. It’s all about how you can fit with a team and the workplace.

Snapchat is probably the least important platform for my professional brand. I think it can be more if I were famous but currently it is the most personal. I actually use this app for messaging more than posting. It is definitely a good way to practice for other platforms. 

I very rarely use FB as a professional source to find jobs but it can still be used to appeal for them. It can be used to showcase who a person is especially with the access to see family and friends. Don’t be that person who to explain themselves to an employer. First impressions are key.
