Gaster frowned a bit at the nickname- whether out of fondness or joking, he wasn’t a fan of being called anything other than Gaster. There were too many Gasters around, and all of them seemed to go by nicknames. But Gaster was just Gaster. And he liked it like that.

Just as Gaster promised, as Bill traveled in a straight line through the seemingly-unending darkness, another door soon appeared. It was sitting in the middle of the darkness, anchored to nothing. It was identical to the first door- grey and unassuming, and made a slight click as it opened. 

And yet, when it opened, it revealed another of Gaster’s promises. Bill would soon find himself in Gaster’s reality- his timeline, as many monsters called them. His own world, shaped by tiny details, diverged and differed from many of the other timelines he knew of. And in this way, it was about to be shaped by another difference: Bill. 

Welcome to Gaster’s timeline.

Years upon years of waiting-- finally culminating in this moment. A second chance. Bill let out a delighted laugh as he felt himself become real-- the billions of souls within him screaming. His patience yielded fruit-- and now.

Now the Pines family would suffer.

They would learn the true meaning of the word.

Well. At least this Bill didn’t seem like he was trying to trick him into anything. He at least promised to not harm the humans Gaster was close to, while also saying he admired Gaster’s dedication to wiping the rest of them out. 

Perhaps this partnership could work out after all. 

“…Very well then.” Gaster nods, coming to his decision. “Getting you a corporeal form, getting revenge on that counterpart and his humans, and destroying the humans in my timeline? Sounds like a beneficial partnership.”

A door appears beside Gaster. It was grey and featureless, and when it opened, there was nothing but a dark expanse of nothingness beyond. The void. 

“This door will take you to my reality. Keep moving in a straight line- wouldn’t want to get lost, would we?” Getting lost would be a terrible idea, honestly. There was nothing in the void. It was an expanse of nothingness, and getting lost would mean staying lost.

“I GOTTA SAY-- YOU’RE REALLY WINNING ME OVER, CRACKS.” A nickname-- was it a sign of fondness or simply Bill being Bill? That would remain a mystery. The being floated toward the door, summoning his cane before slipping through it.

The void was--- like the antithesis of his realm. It was the nothing between worlds. Whereas his own dimension was the chaos between them.

So he kept moving in a straight line. Perhaps it had been a bit foolish to trust Gaster to get him out without making a formal deal-- but this was something of a leap of faith. Their various desires were in alignment-- and Bill had no intention of harming his family, so long as he didn’t try anything.

Gaster hadn’t considered that. He’d been so preoccupied with wondering if the other Gaster would harm him if he saw what he was doing, that he hadn’t stopped to consider what he would do if he couldn’t see through his eyes. It was a sobering reminder that, like it or not, Gaster was in a tough situation. And he needed help to get out of it. 

“…Getting you into my reality won’t be a problem. I have access to a place that exists between all places- the void, they call it. Through this place, I have access to every universe, every timeline. Getting you into my reality would be an easy feat- as long as your plans for revenge don’t end up getting me killed beforehand.”

“I WON’T KILL YOU, OR YOUR HUMAN PETS. ONCE I’VE GAINED CORPOREAL FORM, I CAN FIX YOUR SOUL AND WE CAN START PLANNING A PARTY.” The party, of course, was revenge. But hey, he wanted to be a bit theatrical. Time was of the essence here, as the other Gaster could likely see what they were doing.
