Diablo wasnât sure how he managed to end up with all these books, but he did. He staggered through the hallway, his sacred invisibility disrupted by the sheer ridiculousness of him carrying too many books. He scowled, teeth pulling at his bottom lip as he tried to get a handle on too many books. Just when he reached the peak of problematic book carrying someone stepped forward to help him. He turned his blank gaze on the stranger. Heâd seen this kid around before. Listened into a few of his prank conversations too. âYeah, thanks.â Diablo didnât wait, he eagerly tipped some of his books into Lockâs hands.
Upon further inspection it seemed that Lock did, in fact, know who his fellow student was. Heâd never been good with putting names to faces though so, for the time being, he remained anonymous beyond reputation. The Porter triplet knew of him simply as the lackey of one of his fellow seniors. The book wielding boy was a weird kid, always quiet, but filled to the brim with untapped potential. It was always the silent ones that made the biggest scenes. âNo, thank you.â Lock said in response as he cradled the books in his arm-- a wide smile etched on his face. âWhat kind of person would I be if I let another student struggle like that without extending a friendly hand? Spoiler alert-- an awful one.â His tone was jovial as he began to walk. âSo, whereâs the leash?â He asked in reference to Mal.
