sorry for my silence, but i have been absolutely mourning olive.r tre.e. his music gave such muse to me for gaz, a lot of his songs i think resonate with her as a character. hopefully i’m out of this funk soon, but that’s why i’ve been lurking.

i can't express how absolutely important it is that when you make an edgy, brooding, badass character who's tough as nails and good at fighting and whatever, you HAVE to give them at least one reason to become completely helpless and pathetic. you have a panic attack quota to fulfill.

gaz does not see her superhuman abilities as anything but something that’s just “there”. she doesn’t typically abuse them unless she’s angry or to instill fear. she doesn’t want attention from them. she sees them as a natural part of herself and nothing more.

she has read through the files on both her and dib. she understands how they came to be and why. she won’t tell dib he’s a clone because she thinks it’s dumb that he hasn’t come to the conclusion on his own or read their father’s very easily accessible files.

membrane labs lost a lot of staff the year gaz was born unfortunately, she was dangerously unstable for the first few years of her life (though she still is now, she’s just better at controlling it) and pm had to do a LOT of coverup. while dib was “easy”, gaz was a whole new level of dangerous.

reminder that the only reason zim was able to keep gaz captive in etf was simply because of his use of pm’s tech. even in the show, the only tech used to successfully contain gaz was HIS tech! pm is really the only person that knows more about the abilities he gave gaz than she does.

of course he has to know how to contain her much like he needs to learn how to control his other experiments. he made an unstable being only pacified by video games or her own father and he did that on purpose. it’s all about protecting the company. dib could never do what needs to be done to run his business, because he has too much humanity. however, that does make him a great face for it.

gaz on the other hand is good at running the underbelly of the business. the darker business deals, keeping people in line, and ruling through fear (which pm does slightly do - we have seen him be angered). where gaz lacks in people skills, she soars when it comes to keeping people in line and arranging deals.

also - just saying zim probably didn’t add that tech into the membracelets that essentially made them like the chumbuckets from the s.pongebob movie. they were probably already there.
