Waking up here in the city had been unexpected, but most certainly welcomed. After all the alternative was…much crueler to think about. Kaede could still recall what happened to her; she could feel the ghost of the metal collar clasping around her neck, dragging her away as her hand barely brushing Saihara’s before she was dropped onto a huge piano and well…the rest was a bit fuzzy, though whether it was because she couldn’t remember or she was trying to block out those memories was up for debate.
She shook her head as to ride herself of those thoughts as she explored the city, mostly the Chamomile District. It had been the district the place she had woken up in was, so it only made sense to explore there first. At least this was better than the academy, she didn’t have to deal with Monokuma and his twisted game that she had played right into. She had just wanted to save everyone, and look at where that got her…
This wasn’t the time to be thinking about that. She had a second chance here, and she shouldn’t let it go to waste. After all, while she might be here for this ‘pairing project’, it doesn’t mean that she can’t do other things while she’s here. However, she soon found someone that looked familiar, and sure enough, it’s someone she knows from the academy.
“Kiibo-kun!” she calls out as she approaches the robot. “You ended up here as well! I’m glad to find someone I know here, have you been here long?”
Kiibo would be lying if he said he was having a difficult time fitting into the new environment. He’d been here for about a month by now, so he was used to the city, but it didn’t feel... complete. It might sound selfish, but a part of him wished that the friends he’d grown so fond of were sent here as well; it wasn’t the same without them (and yes, he was more than aware that Ouma would comment on how it’s impossible for a machine to miss things).
During one of his strolls through the Chamomile District, he heard a strangely familiar voice call out his name. And nothing could’ve prepared him for what he saw when he turned towards the source.
“Akamatsu-san!?”
It couldn’t be. Akamatsu died a long time ago -- quite brutally, in fact. No one would’ve survived a punishment such as that, he and the others saw it all happen right in front of their own eyes! But still... this person looked exactly like his deceased friend, and Kiibo’s memory was irrefutable.
“Is that really you?” Akamatsu’s question was left unanswered as the robot asked one of his own. His voice wavered, like he would’ve been tearing up if he had the ability to. “But your execution... We all watched it happen...”

Wandering Chamomile District was the name of Berserker’s current mission. Unfortunately, it was becoming clear it was one he far from excelled at, made clear by the obvious confusion crossing his features. The sprawling nature of it was at complete odds with the organized and structured Chaldea he had grown so used to over the past few months. His eyes drifted to the storefronts, looking for anything with “record” or “music” in the name. No dice - he huffed a sigh and kept moving; he was a man on a mission, and no mission was impossible through him. After a bit of a adjustment, it’d be a breeze –
– or so he thought, before bumping into a stranger on the street. Movements stilled, he took a single step back and dragged his eyes down to look at the offending body before him. His eyes were narrow, almost surprised by the intrusion to his inner monologue. The crowds seemed to have been parting for him, before this. Did this – child? robot? – have no fear?
“ You are in the way. ”
Kiibo had been out looking for a new extension cord. His previous one had gotten a tear in it due to an... embarrassing incident the day before, and the robot decided that he’d have to quickly buy a new one before hurrying back to the safety of his home. Koi was dangerous at the moment, and the last thing Kiibo wanted to deal with was the murderer that he’d heard of in the news.
Suddenly something bumped into his shoulder. As if by reflex, he tensed up (and would’ve held his breath, if he had the ability to breathe at least). Please don’t kill me. Please don’t kill me. Please don’t ... But the harm didn’t come. He reluctantly relaxed himself, realizing there wasn’t any immediate danger besides a harsh voice telling him to move.
“M-my apologies.” He looked back at the stranger. Was Kiibo really the one who should’ve made room for him? He could’ve easily just walked around...
“I-I’d recommend being more careful while you’re outdoors. I don’t know if you’ve heard, but there’s a killer going around.”

“Please stop doin’ that! Serial killing is really, really bad! Okay?!”
“W-will asking really make the killer stop..?”
“If so, we should hurry and find them before they hurt anyone else! Let’s end the killings!"
“A-A killer!? We won’t be having to do any class trials, will we?”

The sudden outburst startles Ango. He jumps slightly when Kiibo addresses him, head whipping to the side. He, also, gives a bit of a shriek before he immediately composes himself, coughing slightly. He smiles, politely.
「 I actually haven’t, I’m afraid. Why? You seem troubled, so there must be something special attached to it, right? 」
Kiibo, fortunately, doesn’t notice the other man’s embarrassing scream. Though he wonders how he can respond so calmly to this extremely dire situation! Does he not realize the urgency!?
“I-I need the charger to refill my internal batteries. Without it I’ll shut down before I even make it back to my housing!” The robot swivels his head around, scanning the area for the lost object. “P-please help!”

K1-B0 is a pretty unusual name (it’s a good thing Emmet was already offered a nickname, or he’d have to invent one for the kind himself) and it’s only fitting for it to be an unusual person to go along with it. And a nice kid, if his introduction is anything to go by. That’s definitely worth Emmet’s respect.
“Hello! My name is Emmet! And I am not cosplaying. This is my uniform! Not for here. For my job back home. But it makes a good coat!” The boss uniform is, yeah, pretty odd, but the fun part of being a competitive battler is getting to show off that you’re too qualified to be questioned by dressing in whatever weird way you want. “Are you new here? I have not seen you. Around.”
“That’s a uniform!? How strange, I’ve never seen one like that before...” Kiibo can’t really guess what Emmet’s previous job must’ve been based off of the clothing. Oh! Maybe he’s a ship captain! Or a cosplay captain! That’s a thing that can exist, right?
The robot nods at the other’s question, noting the choppiness of his sentences, but leaving it alone for the time being. ‘Cause hey, he doesn’t talk very “normally” either, so no prob bob.
“That’s right! I only just arrived a couple days ago,” he rubs the back of his neck before letting his arm fall to his side once more, “Admittedly, I still don’t understand why I’m here. I was forced to take part in a killing game before, s-so is this similar..?” He really hopes it isn’t.
