My personal fav AU’s and their designated tags(will update occasionally):

★ #handler au :handler is an au where during buckys time in Hydra preserum!steve was taken in too, and given the title of buckys handler. His job was to keep Bucky under control and under hydra’s thumb.

★ #hybrid au :chunky dairycow!steve and bull!Bucky, just a silly au of animal hybrids.

Steve and Bucky both lost in the sauce in two separate ways.

I went for handler AU since they’re my favs. Also so so so sorry this is very long.

I think for games they play together they’d have at least one “cozy game”, maybe Stardew or Coral Island. Especially since both have options for the players to marry eachother! I also think they’d enjoy Nintendo games, Mario kart or maybe one of the various super mario games. Also they’d absolutely play the Lego Star Wars games together or the Lego marvel games(if they existed in their universe) cause silly.

For Bucky on his own, I feel like he’d enjoy Tomadachi life. I think he’d like making Steve and himself and all his friends, just watching them be silly on his island. I think he’s a big decorator, and enjoys cozy style games, definitely an animal crossing enthusiast. (I have villager lists for both steve and Bucky, sue me.) Also!! I think Bucky would really enjoy the Dragon-age games, as welI as the entire Baldurs gate trilogy. I don’t think Bucky would play video games a lot, he tends to play calmer/story based games to relax at the end of the day. And absolutely no scary games, the darker themes can cause him to recede into himself a bit, he’ll get all quiet, keeping his face smooshed in Steve’s neck and avoiding everyone else.

For Steve, I think he’s more of a watcher at first. He likes cozying up next to Bucky and watching him play games. But after watching Bucky make a his character in Baldurs gate 3 he decides to give it a try on his own and loves it, he starts trying out more of Bucky’s games and gains a love for it. He definitely leans more towards story focused games rather than cozy, I think games like Detroit become human, South of Midnight(which makes him very emotional), and any of the Legend of Zelda games honestly. Steve would definitely be forced to play a few scarier games with Natasha and Clint watching him, at least once, but it’d go poorly with Steve getting upset from jumpscares. He’s not like overly sensitive or anything but he’s already constantly vibrating from nerves so jumpscares just set him off.

Bucky’s sensitive behind the ears, he’s press his face into Steve’s hand if he scratches him there. He also enjoys a good search along his jaw. But the really sensitive spot is on his side right side, if Steve scratches him there his leg will kick.

On the topic of sensitivity I feel like Bucky’s very attuned to his sense of touch and hearing so when he’s overwhelmed he shoves himself under Steve’s shirt, smooshing his cheek to Steve’s chest or belly on occasion. Steve’s used to it and doesn’t really mind for the most part,

Domesticated animal types are the most common type of hybrid, but there are wild animal hybrids, boars, foxes, bears, all that good stuff.

Depending on where you are in the world, as well as regionally in the USA the types of hybrids you would see change.

These aren’t Captain America exclusive, and the NOMAD comic is actually Bucky nomad! He’s got a goofy nomad suit to, though not as silly/slutty as Steve’s.

There’s no illegal breeding rings, because that’s legit just human trafficking and I really don’t wanna go that Dark in the au right now. No brothels, and no selling children.

But people definitely try to exploit hybrids since depending on what kind they are they have heightened abilities, like Bucky’s got more energy, he’s faster, and his sense of hearing and smell are insane.
