older generations are missing out on the opportunity of the internet and its impact of art and specifically internet art. im trying to figure out what ‘internet art’ is -- or more specifically what it means to me and my ideas about it. i just have experienced so many artists/whatevers art only matter within the internet and their large following. i don't mean to sound corny but some people just aren't good/

ive been obsessed with this term ‘decontextualization’ and i have no clue where it came from. but i just had the realization its just something im interested in: ive categorized it as the obsession with creating work conceptually and removing all context that the average viewer rejects it, refuses to try to understand it - pissing people off. deconstruction has always interested me, dont know why probably because i enjoy remaining a mystery specially through my conceptualized art. but ive come across lucy lippard - and her obsession with dematerialization - kinda the same thing ive been into just like from the 60s. a quote from her reads: "since i first wrote on the subject in 1967, it has often been pointed out to me that dematerialization is an inaccurate term, that a piece of paper or a photograph is as much an object, or as “material,” as a ton of lead. granted. but for lack of a better term i have continued to refer to a process of dematerialization, or a deemphasis on material aspects (uniqueness, permanence, decorative attractiveness)."  i believe the internet, the cloud and our digital art world serves as this platform unexplored to its potential. the low (conceptual) quality of work floating in the cloud today is not an accurate representation of this. im seeking a foundation for a possible theory - looking for anyone to add their insight? not sure how long ill go without some sort of interaction here but thats perfectly okay just know, im open. 

my work revolves around a deep rooted conceptual meaning with decontextualized visuals. i mainly work digitally - its somewhat cheap and something i enjoy. our new medium  - eh medium is a poor choice of work - “graphic design” is somewhat new, we are still trying to figure out what using the internet as art entails. i am not a fan of referring to myself as a graphic designer, more so a graphic/digital artist. the term designer really scares me, i treat my graphic work as fine art - something looked down upon by my peers and fellow followers. i have been unable to find any other graphic artists treating it as fine art, everyone seems to be settling for designer . . . 

speculating on the future is always a common discussion. black mirror, westworld, whatever - technology and our ever growing digitalization is always at the heigh of the conversation. but no one discusses the possibility of our us reverting back to ‘ancient’ (as in like 10 years ago) technology. in efforts to remain anonymous, i wont disclose much about me but being born in mid 1990s, i am part of the last generation of ~ millennials ~ that didnt grow up with the internet. yes, it existed but i still remember dial-up, car phones and not being able to text cause it costed too much. if you're still reading, you'll notice im ranting - exactly why i decided to create this tumblr. im an artist and im interested in exploring the past popular, short lived ways of expression - in this case, blogging. the internets original popular characteristics was the fact you could remain anonymous, you could be anyone you wanted to be with little consequences - our internet has changed. its about being as public as you can be with virtually anything. digital lust - our sexualized, infinite obsession with over sharing via internet. i originally began experiment this on my person twitter - wrong mistake. my followers followed me for a specific reason, i was posting zero substance internet art which was gaining me followers and they were not into my conceptualization of low-fi art. thought about making a website, too accessible. tumblr has maintained its popularity without changing to please the common user. same structure, same anonymity, same freedom. not sure where im gonna go with this but look at it as a digital experiment - attempting to gain a following with the forgotten #hashtag.
