i was gonna post prose today buuuuut i started looking at beats on youtube and here we are. basically a wartime lullaby but with backing music it can be sang like an epic. it follows the story of my great-grandmother, francis, named after her oldest brother frank who died in the war. i won't pretend to know what it was like to live with that grief, but having your family try for another boy to name him after and you end up being a girl? a terrible terrible feeling in my gut and burning behind my eyes. anyway. enjoy the sadness!
