I used to rewrite texts ten times before sending them, terrified of a typo. I’d avoid trying new hobbies because I might not be “good enough.” It felt safe, but really—it was a cage I built for myself. The fear of mistakes kept me smaller than I actually was.

The problem with this mindset:

Every slip feels like failure instead of a lesson.

You avoid risks, even the ones that could change your life.

Growth feels impossible because perfection is always out of reach.

Creativity gets crushed under self-criticism.

You measure yourself by flaws, not progress.

Mistakes don’t ruin us—they shape us. The sooner we allow them, the freer we become.

One of the first thoughts that came to mind was i love you. Neither do I know this person nor is he related to me in any way. It wasn't romantic attraction. It wasn't pity either.

It was admiration. It was respect. I wondered how many times he might've had to face a difficult situation all alone. How much patience, determination and grit it must've taken to work on a goal.

Every other person does this too. But for people who are different than the norm by any manner, the world somehow convinces them they're weaker? that they're more deserving of sympathy than respect. i believe it's absolutely false. People who work so hard, not despite, but with whatever life has handed them are the most deserving of respect.

The i love you was for his inner child that might not have heard it often enough before. It was to amplify the positive bubble he has created for himself. I pray that every person who needs an i love you, finds it resonating towards them in their surroundings <3
