Faded memories of a vanishing city.

A city that opened its arms to everyone. A city that knew how to surprise and delight. Consolation, tranquillity, vitality, a kaleidoscope of senses, warmth – a blend of feelings, emotions and the breathtaking salty sea air. It was only recently, and yet so long ago.

It's now a city where your love for long walks comes at the price of removing glass shards from your soles and getting asthma attacks from the constant fires. A city with downcast eyes – shattered windows, ruined balconies. A city covered by scars from constant russian attacks. 

A city burying its inhabitants, covering them with a quilt knitted from broken bulfdngs, tears, bricks, pain and dust.

4 years in hell, 12 years in limbo

Several days without electricity, running water, or heating. Minus 10 outside, plus 10 inside.

Massive drone strikes and destruction in my neighbourhood, freezing rain, sunless days, and the acrid smell of smoke from burned buildings. Ice mixed with shards of glass on the streets. January 2026 in Odesa will be remembered for a long time.

A photo from a past life. 2005. Back then, we weren't expecting threats from the sky and were able to enjoy fireworks.

Memories are fading, as if it never happened, but mind tries to bring out the bright bits.
