thing is! nima doesn't trust morrigan, probably ... wouldn't unless jiyu was into play here but even then being humansplained elven mythos when an elf (solas) is right there is just annoying. and that's not even counting like, outside of canon, if there were any elven companions that joined them yknow.

very much 'get a load of this guy' like 'thank you VERY much, but i have faith that those who wish to teach me about the mythology will.' (definitely heard a couple of teachings from her friends & any hahren's who indulged her visits)--- but anyways LOL yeah she wouldn't trust morrigan's reasons for wanting the well, like you just want... knowledge? that's it? how curious. the complicated thing IS, is that nima doesn't trust her, she just doesn't, but nima also is an outsider. solas refuses to take the well for reasons he doesn't elaborate on (and then doesn't elaborate why the well is bad 😭), they can't let corypheus have it, and destroying it.... is complicated. because that is a great loss of knowledge, for one, but also.... gestures at the situation.

SO idk it's complicated maybe i'll have a better idea in my playthrough but i think nima would drink from the well of sorrows. she doesn't trust morrigan, sorry! she doesn't trust that morrigan is going to be respectful with this ancient knowledge and impart it at all to any dalish clan, let alone reach out to ANY elves about it like. you're just going to take the information and ... walk away with it? and nima's expected to believe you have no nefarious intentions?

so yes, nima... would drink from the well of sorrows? potentially? it's definitely a choice that grieves her because, again, she doesn't belong here! it definitely plays with her, mentally. it also ensures she's trapped in thedas because hey you're bound to a god for realsies now. man that's brutal. much to think about.

it's definitely a play on nima's curiosity, nima's taking the hit so no one else has to, nima's distrust of morrigan and the belief that this knowledge could be used for good. because the loss of knowledge is grievous, and especially with the connections she's built having good relations with the clans she's come across who have offered goodwill, i think it also fucks with nima a little bit because they KNOW what it does to a person when knowledge is lost. it tears her up inside, knowing what all she had and can't even remember, can barely look at with some of the mysteries her diaries hold too much for her to even see lest her headaches wreak havoc on her. so, that alone is enough. i think their belief that maybe if they have access to the well of sorrows, they can impart that knowledge---

edit: thinking about them stuck in thedas for 10 years dude. in the event that it's relatively canon compliant & they don't get help from, like, anyone so ... kind of a worst case scenario for them basically? on a personal level. because them getting help would require plotting

edit 2: okay i'm mad as FUCK i forgot tumblr puts a bullshit limit on tags. i had an entire section dedicated to dorian & varric & the inquisition, how it all culminates into an eventual home for them & how they would go back n forth between tevinter & kirkwall with varric taking her under his wing (and the outlier in that nima would end up telling varric about their circumstances eventually if they were close enough but hey! varric dgaf about that, he sensed the bs, he knew they were hiding something, as long as it doesnt directly harm him/his people/the fucking world whatever man it doesn't change who nima is potentially) & also nima's complicated struggles & relationship WITH hiding this information because she isn't thedosian. she is a complete outsider, a mimic, an imposter wearing the skin of those around her. while she doesn't lie, she also doesn't speak the truth of it either. & as a traveler, you'd think oh why does this bother her so much? it bothers her bc she can typically escape in other circumstances but here, she can't, she is trapped for the forseeable future and/or permanently, she can't return home. & the FURTHER struggles of what that means for her identity & also of her relationship to people within the inquisition

also augh cole was another element in this as well but cole is... difficult because nima just avoids him straight up a lot of the time, but i think she would really like his insights :') i really do. i think they would have such engaging conversations

but anyways yeah there was so much haha.... gripping my desk so hard it splinters & shatters can you tell im mad as fuck. im also tired, writing essays with no sleep lets gooooo

but. anyways. some basics until i can get some lore shit actually written down concretely.

─ professor types, mentor figures. yes grandpa she's about to GET IT. listen, intellectualism is hot to her, she endeavors to learn. get on the desk grandwhoever, we're fucking. yes, educating her on something is foreplay, even if she knows she'll indulge you and listen anyways.

─ funny, rogueish types, bonus points if you're flirty too. they are more often than not the humorous one! you HAVE to have a sense of humor, some... whimsy! you have to enjoy a little bit of teasing, a fair bit of ribbing because they WILL make fun of you. it's a sign of good nature, that they enjoy your presence enough to joke with you, not at you! one interesting thing though, you can catch them unawares by flirting hard with them. they're usually very good at handling themselves with flirts but if you can outflirt them? it's awesome, truly. i love flustered nima, i really do.

─ broody stoics. yall are the best, she loves to poke at brooders. her relationship with jiyu is evidence enough of that, such a brooding stoic he is, and nima gets a kick out of it EVERY single time. there is little that can deter nima, and if you allow them, they definitely want to see what hides underneath. not one to push, but ... they're curious, y'know? i think they, secretly, enjoy being an exception too. isene and mirevas aren't particularly broody stoics, but they do have elements of both, and i know nima would somehow find a way to get along with them.

this honestly has no real bearing though unless like through plotting or something she ends up spending more time in kirkwall than she had planned to. because that changes things lol. but if you don't really know her and she doesn't spend more than a few months or so here and there in kirkwall then shrug.

something else that occurred to me, too, is that nima would absolutely deny any official portraits of her. (if they are the inquisitor) let the inquisitor remain a mystery, you can not paint portraits of them, they will not allow it!

oh, and, here's a list of people i fully expect to be suspicious and / or know that something is off about nima.

like, for example, jiyu is her bestie though i have to workshop her relationship with him in da because he's.... different so until i figure out all his dragon age isms i'll mostly use her relationship with him in ffxiv (even if she is different there, herself) as the basis for it. they are besties but something more, perhaps soulmates, but not quite. the closest approximation for it would be qpps & ill speak more on their relationship Officially later. but yes they are each other's ride or die and if you're dating either of them, you will get introduced to the other because you have to meet both or NOTHING. even if you are only dating, let's say, jiyu like nima's there too man. she's not dating him but she's gotta be there. SDGYSDFJFDSNMDSMK like how the elves describe the evanuris' relationships to each other as being very ???????????????????????? that's jiyu & nima.

varric and dorian would also be her besties i think, i just know it in my soul. she would get on pretty well with anders i want to say? and solas, i think they would be besties, you can't shake her with sharp jabs okay she's resilient to deal with jiyu's🧍‍♂️ass anything is possible.

actually, if i were to be more specific with those four (because i ended up doing so anyways)

VARRIC.

it's so funny, i KNOW nima was in kirkwall during da2. she would not stick around, but she definitely would've been in and around kirkwall at different times, and definitely in taverns. so like, if nothing else they would probably know each other minimally and get along pretty well! i'm kind of tossing and turning between HOW close across da2 and especially inquisition, like. in da2, again with how she flits about, she is kind of in her element.... stranger who asks too many questions, looking all distant but fitting in so keenly with the bar folk. they would've had conversations for sure and nima would definitely have heard about him! would have read his books, something she'd subtly bring up as a means to joke around with him yknow. but in inquisition! like. man she is so, so out of place and varric is an incredibly insightful person, he knows people, he reads them, hell, he writes about them like HE KNOWS. he'd be able to see that in nima where others wouldn't be able to. he's probably her only respite and even that isn't much because she doesn't even really, truly, know him. she'd probably know of his friends maybe (some of them), one of the few that knows hawke (if she ever met hawke), but that's about it. and it's all the closure they both have y'know. and nima.... nima would close off. it's a weird push and pull, like so much IS with nima, where the second varric gives any indication that he sees her--- she can't anymore. y'know? this is the part where she up and leaves! and she can't do that. doubly so if she's the inquisitor. the most she can do is avoid him, avoid everyone, unless necessary which has it's flaws LOL and i don't doubt for a second he or someone else would call her out for it. which they should! but yeah i don't know man. he is one of the few bits of closure she has and she doesn't even HAVE THAT

DORIAN.

i'll have more of an idea on this in their playthrough, but yeah i think these two would get along well. dorian is funny! dorian knows what it's like to be an outsider and much like nima, deflects with humor. nima has no reason to judge him from being a tevinter because they don't have that connection that so many do! also i think it is ABSOLUTELY deserved for dorian to make fun of the robe that nima wears. literally a 'do you only have one outfit in that closet of yours' moment because. yes they have other clothes, no they won't wear them, these are important! nima knows how to take a joke though, so unless dorian really dug in (which i can't imagine he would) or nima was in a particularly somber mood like. it'd be fine. i also love the idea of nima going to dorian for anything mage related? nima fucks with mages first and everyone else next- SHYDFJKFMDFDM okay but seriously like. it doesn't take much to see someone like nima, a font of untapped power, struggle with something that a more experienced mage would see as simple. like nima... is clumsy to anyone with a knowledgeable eye. nima draws from instinct, intuition, and not outright knowledge. they know the magic they studied in their world, the magic of various other lands, and whatever they've managed to get their hands on throughout their time in thedas enough to have the basics down... but it doesn't compare to an actual education. they use magic so obviously like an apostate, someone with no ties to anything but their own soul y'know?

SOLAS.

oh man LOL okay. i admit, i do have a soft spot for these two, which is a little amusing because i didn't really think anything of them to begin with. and then realized how similar they were in some ways lol. but ignoring my biases for TWO seconds.

there are a few things! i've said this before, but nima could easily be a spirit of curiosity with how much she THRIVES on learning, and solas enjoys teaching! nima would have no problems listening to solas' input, asking question after question, she could probably ask enough questions to exhaust even HIM which is. very funny to me. but! she is ever seeking, for no reason other than the want to learn, to understand, to know. they would get along well, she isn't deterred by prickly behavior and if the prideful know it all in him came out she'd surely poke light fun at him for it. regale her with stories, with the wonders of this world, with magic and spirits! magic is a fun little thing here, too, because gestures above. she so very clearly runs more on intuition than knowledge so like. i'm just saying. there is much to be had. so, on the surface level, could they get along? yes! yes absolutely. they would have many backs and forths, nima WILL be making fun of him for a great many things but will also seek his input.

HOWEVER. she is an outsider. and he would see it right away lol. sense it, even. they are bullshitterssssssss and, much like varric and iron bull, would be able to SEE that she is a bullshitter. would he call her out on that? don't know, could be fun! would love for that to happen. there's a mutual suspicion, and it's a little funny how similar they are--- again, surface level. both avoidant, both outsiders, both have such a strong desire for home, both deceivers. or half truthers i suppose. nima technically doesn't lie, she just obfuscates the truth, but solas does exactly the same thing! they would clash in many ways, nima has as much of an ego on her as any other and i think it would frustrate her to be condescended (which also plays into some of her other relationships, i.e with vivienne for example). i also... i wonder, it's a dance almost. their mutual suspicion, because i can fully imagine solas asking a question that, y'know, if you're thedosian surely you'd have a reasonable answer but. maybe she answers in a way that doesn't make sense, maybe she can't answer, deflects etc. a tell! nima has a few tells if you pay enough attention, like she's not crazy obvious and is able to chameleon her way in fairly well but...... you know. which is funny because it adds something else, like okay you're clearly an outside, why are you asking so many questions. distrust! there's layers........... many layers. i've also had different thoughts on. like. interactions in the fade, y'know? little games of half truths that they'd play. it's interesting to me. because nima would LOVE the fade, would love spirits! what reason has she to fear spirits? it's... there's so much. so much.

but yknow in between distrust and suspicion, because it goes both ways right? if you're able to pick up on nima being an especially powerful mage, she knows that you must be one yourself. you are an outsider like her, and have opinions that seem ... different from what everyone considers the norm. she is onto you just as much as you may be onto her, even if you don't make it obvious.

but in between that! there is the whimsy of learning, the things she could teach him and him in turn teach her. interactions in the fade, because she is a somniari so them meeting would be fun. again, my interpretation of the fade is shaky but... being able to shape it, i imagine nima would be able to paint such vivid imagery! wheat fields, and midnight purple skies, the different lands she's visited, rich red earths and blazing heat, and so, so much. all this to say, i think she would encourage solas' whimsy because i KNOW he is incredibly whimsical. hell, i could even see a one sided friendship on nima's end with solas cautiously trying to figure her out--- fully believe he would get carried away though & end up ACTUALLY becoming her friend.

it's funny because never has nima had a closeness that would beg her to want to take someone away with her, but solas? maybe. i've thought about jiyu, but i think with jiyu... he belongs there y'know it's his world. this isn't hers.... take her hand solas, yall can go worldhopping LMFAO. no need to pull apart the veil, she'll take you to lands beyond. god knows, she needs a bestie (which yes she has jiyu but original lore nima does not have jiyu. & wouldn't be willing to take him with her unless he truly had nothing. ffxiv nima has jiyu). this being said, i don't think he would. he's so tied to his goal and values like look at veilguard, he isn't going to just DROP that (and if she stays, veilguard is a completely different beast in & of itself) but oooh.... think about it.... the temptation to just let it all go...... which is brutal when you think about it, all that it means to solas, so again i don't think he would BUT...... im just saying. nima could ask him, incredibly terrifying and beyond risky HOWEVER........!

she's kind of the doctor coded which is a really scary thought but.

ANYWAYS. yes, i think they could be very close friends. the unfortunate thing though is that they are both so.... avoidant. and nima is extremely jump in and go with her desires, but.... auuugh i don't know man. LOL like. she's fine with one night stands, she's fine with harmless flirts and kisses, what have you. but anything more.... she's gotta go, she can't do this LOL. and with regards to friendships specifically, you can be her friend! she has many friends, has no problems with that, but she will ALWAYS holds you at arms length. always. even that, considering someone a friend has implications, which at first seems fine but.... it's so difficult for her. so literally these two are the slowest of slow burns ever to burn even platonically because she just doesn't. do closeness. she doesn't do longterm friendships, or families. in fact, top of her list, above getting rid of the breach and dealing with corypheus is getting the hell OUT of thedas. she has absolutely no plans on staying! she has absolutely no plans of getting close to ANYONE here. she can't care for anyone because it endangers her (but she does, of course, because how couldn't she?)

i've also had some thoughts on... like. would he be able to see her memories, where she can't? it's something that.... if approached in a certain way, it may be that she decides to reach out to him for his views on ancient magic. because the breach chiefly, the anchor, and by virtue of everything going on with the breach, the veil, is fucking with her abilities. like idk, it's... something i want to play on eventually. even if she isn't the inquisitor and doesn't have the anchor, the breach and the veil's shakiness in and of itself would fuck with her magic enough to trap her in thedas. it would be nice, if she had someone she could be honest with. also.... okay this is a little evil of me but like, solas could so Easily manipulate her. she's so powerful and has no clue of it, like it's crazy dude. im not saying he Would but i'm just saying it would be interesting.

which like. if she's not the inquisitor, she is ESPECIALLY shady. literally two apostates with no connections to anyone or anything (save jiyu in nima's case who ends up being the HoF but she wouldn't leverage him like that, they would write to each other however) like come on. spiderman point.png also added to the fact that she just. disappears for hours on end. like GSTSDFNJFSDJNDFSMK yeah suspicious as all hell.

and one final comment on these two, because i did not touch enough on their whimsy. look im just saying. they both draw, nima is a linguist, she loves languages, LET. HIM. TEACH. HER!!!! i mean god she'd for sure go to dorian about tevinte, like please....... let him catch her privately practicing elvish. it would scare the shit out of her but it'd be really funny, anyways. like, as the inquisitor, i don't think she'd be able to just.... wander around as much. as a companion? maybe! she'd definitely be off trying to find her friends, city or dalish, that were willing to help her with speaking the language but. as inquisitor, she wouldn't have that luxury so much... anyways. yes, it all ties back into that dynamic of learning! all this to say i think they would be besties. definitely something More because canon is mine to play with DSBGVDFHB but. above all, pretty good friends if they don't immediately decide they don't like one another because of 'you are suspicious' reasons but i really can't imagine that would happen? and if it did, it wouldn't last very long. again, nima has a way of wiggling her way into the steeliest of steel defenses, it's part of her endless charm! not to mention, if they were friends, her dragging him around to different areas as she could yknow. let them travel around the outside, let them travel within the fade, let them talk for hours at a time! falls to my knees banging the ground. this isn't even factoring in inquisition's end game or trespasser or any of that... it's just disaster after disaster.

ANDERS.

anders sweetie im so sorry, i don't know enough about him to form a genuine consensus on what could or couldn't be BUT i know that nima would find him very charming and they would.... probably? get into a lot of conversations. i think she would've for sure met him at least once...? by virtue of digging into the underground, though even then... i'm not sure. iirc, he only sees people on a case by case basis and while i think nima would be curious, she'd have to have a good enough reason but in any case that's where they'd meet if they did meet! i think they'd get along? also in case it wasn't obvious nima does have a thing for mages, so like. you know. there MIGHT be a few things they disagree with, but ultimately i think she would understand and back his cause for a mage revolution if she knew. to an extent though lol, because she wouldn't be in kirkwall when he blows himself up unless something's been plotted out so like. hearing about anders and the chantry would make her... quite sad i think, actually. i want to say disappointed, but i'm not even so sure... she would disagree with his actions for sure but... honestly i don't know if she could even blame him, really. keeping it all very vague but yknow. it's also complicated FOR her, because i'm sure this would spark her own, buried, memories of her own family and their history as mages being targetted and slaughtered. & if not that, it would definitely spark complicated FEELINGS that she can't quite parse so. yknow yay!

COLE.

cole... she has a complicated relationship to cole, look they would get along really well and she has nothing but kind words to say to cole (and also his number 1 defender) BUT! but... she can't spend very long near him :( because he reads her too well and it scares her. also like you can't read her in front of the whole group, are you serious? she knows it isn't his fault, and she isn't one to lash out necessarily but ... she just can't risk it. she knows she'd retaliate unfairly so she has to keep her distance. which is unfortunate because i know she is also the type to be indulgent and cole is probably one of the few people who'd be able to tell her about herself, but she can't. she can't. it breaks my heart, it really does. actually im sick in the head, can you imagine her asking cole to read her but on the condition that he makes her forget after? like. nima you are playing with fire here, not only is she risking her migraine's, she is also being especially selfish, and! her memory loss is such a raw, open, wound for her that asking him to make her forget something is literally her sticking her fingers in her own wound and prodding it. because she would absolutely fear him making her forget more, even if he doesn't intend it, she can't trust that. and then does so anyways lol. SO LIKE LOOK MAN THERE ARE LAYERS IT'S FUCKED

FENRIS.

fenris.... she likes making fun of him, sorry king you can't be broody around nima she's just gonna laugh. again, jiyu syndrome, she is the ONLY PERSON that gets away with making fun of jiyu. forever. i don't know if they would've met, actually. i'm definitely limiting the amount of people she would've met prior to roleplay, but it's not a non zero chance... it's just.... y'know. maybe? maybe not? if they did meet though she would make fun and tease him, peace and love. not out of being cruel either! but because she is just like that with everyone she meets, especially someone as broody as him--- he would remind her a fair bit of jiyu, in that way, so she can't help it.

ISABELA.

isabela my love... can you even imagine nima, isabela, and a funny hawke running around? chaos. i wish i could write more here, i didn't spend nearly enough time with isabela to have any specifics, but i DO know these two would sleep together. if not, have a highly flirty, very casual, very potentially fwb dynamic. again, rule of thumb with nima, is that if you don't pry or insinuate something further like.... they're cool, it's good. the second they get a sense that something deeper is happening, friendship, romantic, whatever the case may be? they start to dip. if they can avoid it, if it goes unnamed, if it never gets spoken about (deeply unfair to the other party i know) then it's fine, they can pretend it doesn't exist and nothing else can arise from this. so, with that in mind, isabela and nima could and would get along famously! at least, if they DO meet in kirkwall, between the flitting around that nima does. but it's very likely they have. im just saying, the flirty tension between them would be so palpable you could cut it with a knife like duuude. but even without the flirts going anywhere, because nima does just flirt for the sake of flirting! it's fun for them! they would be buddies for sure.

MERRILL.

merrill! i'm not actually sure what her relationship to merrill would be? good probably! nima by default gets on pretty well with everyone, i'm not sure what her view of blood magic IS yet but very much ... magic is a tool like any other y'know? you wouldn't fault a knife for the way it was used, the fault lies with the user. but i think she would be reasonably wary of blood magic because like. again, her big fears of having no control, having no freedom etc. so ... 50/50? she'd be wary but wouldn't villainize blood magic users. i don't think she... would meet merrill pre rp to be honest.

HAWKE.

a funny hawke would get on quite well with nima 100%, like i know my hawke would've gotten on famously with nima. these two being left alone with each other ... i'm just saying something could happen. also chaos, definitely chaos between these two. they would just encourage each other. again, specifically funny hawke, because thats who my hawke was and i'm not sure how she'd fair with a diplomatic or assertive hawke as of yet? but y'know. also, again, nima is a huge flirt. nima would flirt with a wry hawke. i think nima would flirt with just about everyone on this damn list provided she felt she could or was interested y'know? (she wouldn't flirt with cole for example, he's kind of a younger... sibling figure maybe?)

LELIANA.

leliana ... maybe! maybe. i know she definitely would've gotten along well with origins leliana, but i imagine that she ... might be able to get under leliana's more distant exterior in inquisition. bare minimum? friends! or co workers that get along reasonably well. she knows there's something that leliana hides but isn't going to press that because she wouldn't want someone to do the same to her. but they do have the potential to be really close :)

JOSEPHINE.

definitely good friends with josie! it doesn't take very long for them to become friends, actually. honestly, there is the potential for something romantic there too! i can imagine nima urging josephine to gossip and talk for hours upon hours because they see how josephine restricts herself in that. josephine is nima's impulse control LOL and nima is josephine's lack of impulse, her 'go on live a little!', but more than that it's seeing each other for something more than just a tool to be used. oh, and much like dorian, i can see josephine fussing over nima specifically in regards to diplomatic events like... nima is quite happy with her robes, thank you! i think she'd have enough of an amused soft spot not to be offended, though. i think maybe she'd even indulge josephine in little things like this, a surprise to both josephine AND dorian lmfao. like yes, she's finally wearing something that isn't her plain, well worn brown robes. crazy! wait but this also has some implications which nima would ABSOLUTELY try to bury. like, god i don't know there's such a nuance in it, because nima is always willing to try something at least ONCE; she'll acquiesce to certain things, especially if she's curious enough about it but... oh, the tenderness. the tenderness she must have for them. a tenderness she buries, hides, lets it fall with the knowledge that she'll be leaving. going soon, far away, with nary a letter, but those clothes she would take with her (or anything else they give her)--- a sure sign that they mean something more. and then, boom, distance! which. again. call her out for it, it's so funny to me, i REVEL in it because how can she avoid them? truly? she can't, and when she does it's SO so obvious. cinema to me, really.

CULLEN.

cullen.... y'know. i thought about the potential of a romance here, but i'm actually ... not sure. nima would come to really dislike templars, she's distant enough from the idea, but if she was stuck in thedas... i don't know. they would get on reasonably well! again, nima is a people person and at the bare minimum willing to listen to someone's reasons. but ... i don't know lol. she'd enjoy teasing him at least, it might just be that they agree to disagree when it comes to templars and mages. also nima doesn't think like a soldier, there is never 'a greater good' for her (save sacrificing herself), i'd have to think on this more but i don't think she believes in militant action so.

CASSANDRA.

cassandra :) ok so i love cassandra but nima.... i think cassandra's reverence of the chantry and how deeply andrastian she is, paired with this idea of nima being 'the herald of andraste' would throw nima off a lot. which is unfortunate, at least to begin with anyways! see her as a person and not a symbol, not something that doesn't exist. it might be something that will always strain their relationship, really, and nima doesn't get particularly close to people anyways but. it's just ... i don't know if nima could trust cassandra not to always see that connection y'know? even if cassandra DIDN'T see her like that, there's no way she'd know for sure. it ties into nima's own .... outsiderisms. like she doesn't BELONG here, this is NOT her god. but yes i think she would tease cassandra a lot too, im just not sure how close they would get but there's potential!

sera...... i won't actually know until i get to her in nima's inquisition playthrough, but. mm maybe? nima is reckless and impulsive and loves a good joke, a good tease, pranks! she does. but there are certain things that sera does that... eh.... i don't know HAHA my own biases may get in the way of this so it'd probably have to depend on a lot of things. like, sera's attitude towards 'elfy elves' and religion will always get a disapproval from nima. sorry. but other than that, nima respects what sera is doing for the red jenny's and likewise what the red jenny's do on the whole! and doesn't mind engaging in a prank or two. it's very possible nima might be able to discuss sera's feelings towards being an elf in a way, let's say, mirevas would be unable to because of her love and pride towards being dalish yknow? but nima KNOWS what it feels to be an outsider! she is one! there's like a 50/50 chance nima will get along with sera. i just don't think she could abide sera's rudeness and would retaliate just as bluntly in response. so eh i don't know.

VIVIENNE.

her and vivienne would get along up to a certain point. nima is wildly for freedom and probably wouldn't approve of mages being inside the circle regardless yknow. i want to believe they would be friends, i do! they both have an interest in politics, though i imagine nima wouldn't be able to discuss it at length with vivienne short of coyly asking viv to mentor them indirectly. oh, i do think vivienne would be able to catch that something is off with nima too. to what extent? not sure! i had a list & some thoughts somewhere of all the people who could catch that nima is.... wrong. and she likely could, but not as much as, let's say, solas might be able to y'know? and this is specifically with regard to magic. this has nothing to do with nima's general suspiciousness, i mean vivienne clocks that solas is weird right off the bat y'know. so she'd definitely be able to see that in nima, doubly if they were on the field together like. DGBFDHNJFDMJ come on, how are you casting magic like that, be so serious. yeah i think she would be very, very, suspicious of nima which is completely fair.

IRON BULL.

i do think they would get along pretty well, i know damn well she'd be flirting with him and the chargers. again, nima full of questions, they'd have their own back and forths i'd imagine depending on how willing iron bull would be to indulging her questions, especially regarding the qun and qunari culture (also qunlat!). but lol. he knows she's a bullshitter and a liar, like how could he not? nima doesn't have it written on her, i know i make it seem like she's very obviously an outsider and from the surface it's clear as day! but she's such a chameleon, a people person, and while she does ask questions, she isn't someone to just go up and ask one after the other, she has many other resources of finding out information. with that in mind though, someone who had an eye for these things, like varric and even perhaps leliana, would know that something was off. what that means? who knows! i do think though he'd be waiting for the shoe to drop with her. so, again yknow, friends! acquaintances, they'd get along very well, but that's probably as far as it'd go because she.... doesn't reveal like. anything. little bits here and there, about her, about her life, her adventures more than anything! but. yknow, not enough to deflect the 'you aren't someone we can trust' bar for someone like iron bull.

BLACKWALL.

blackwall.... ehh, good friends perhaps! keeping this kind of empty for now because i'm not 100% sure and need to figure out what blackwall's deal is (again) to be able to say for certain.

MORRIGAN.

morrigan.... lol. who knows man. i'll have more of an idea later but i think... definitely mutual suspicion. morrigan is one of the few people who could clock that something is wrong with nima. and would try to figure it out almost immediately, which nima does not fuck with. so who knows right. i do have morrigan on my list of people who can, magically, sense that nima is...... something else. i haven't decided what exactly i'll do with the well, yet, but i don't think nima would allow morrigan to drink from it i'll say that much. i love you morrigan, i do, but nima does not trust like that. i would love for morrigan to call nima out on her shit though god please. please. GDBDFJFMKKM i need nima to crash and burn and get caught on her own... betrayal, lets say. because nima doesn't lie, not really. she pretends, chameleons herself, but....... yknow.

jiyu is a protag in his own right, as are all my oc's of their own stories yknow, but his is one without choice---- & he mimics nima in that way, too. but i don't know it's so interesting to me, he becomes the hero that people needs not because he wants to be but because they need him, they needed that so he became that.
