And other times, you cross unknowingly into territory you shouldn’t have.

Take for instance, this party of adventurers who inadvertently set foot in an area that was protected by a group of Dryads. The leader of the Dryads came forward and asked them for their oaths to aid the forest healing, for there having been unknown forces burning sacred shrines all over.

And refusal is not an option. For if they dare to utter a word of defiance, the Dryads will make sure to punish those who dare speak such blasphemies.

It was a long night, but finally the party has tracked the werewolf to its den. With serious injuries, they bravely enter the cave, prepared to finally take down the beast that has been slaughtering the townsfolk one by one.

But unfortunately for them, they bit more than they can chew. For this cave is not home to just one, but a whole pack of werewolves.

They’re surrounded now, they think they will be torn to pieces in an instant. That is, until the biggest werewolf of the pack begins to talk, and makes them an offer they’re in no position to refuse.

Sure, there are some harmless fish swimming around. But around these parts, there are predators everywhere.

The destruction caused by the dragon is indescribable. The lush forests, once green and full of life have been reduced to cinder.

A river of lava now flows freely in the landscape, making the journey of the adventurers that much dangerous.

They’re tracking the evil dragon, trying to catch it before it causes more damage than it already has. But sadly, even if they manage to be victorious, the land will remember. And this land will never be the same.

Tracking a wounded enemy, the party makes their way through the forest. After traveling for some time they find that the tracks end at the mouth of a dark cave.

The ranger signals the rest of the group to stay put while they investigate inside. Their figure soon gets lost amidst the darkness from the cave.

After a while, and just before the rest of the group decided to go looking for their ranger, a piercing scream coming from inside is heard. It gets closer and closer, the ranger now running at top speed and screaming atop of their lungs.

Moments after they get outside, a swarm of giant spiders comes out of the cave, ready to devour the adventurers.

Can they win the battle and continue their search inside the cave?

It was a difficult battle outside, the adventurers had a hard time dealing with those who would stop them from taking the sweet, sweet gold inside here.

Yet they triumphed, and now the treasure is almost within their grasp. Just one last set of obstacles. Reanimated corpses? No problem. Giant spiders? Please. Angry wraiths that haunt them from all sides? Okay, they might have a problem with those. But as stated earlier, their greed knows no bounds.

They finally reach the last room. A pile of gold awaits them. They’ll buy just about everything they ever dreamed of.

Just a little problem. This gold was left alone for a reason. It’s cursed. Because of course it is.

It’s not apparent at first. But after a while, anything that had any sort of relationship with the gold brings misfortune.

Their castles? Infested, haunted, with no added value to speak of. Their retainers? Spies who want to assassinate them. Their winery? Debt everywhere.

Well now that’s a host of problems they need to sort out.

Using forbidden magic offered by an evil wizard, along with plain old physical restraints, the sandworm was bound and is ready to be auctioned to the highest bidder.

Yet the People of the Sands know better than to commit such heinous crimes against nature, and with the help of our trusty heroes, they set out to defeat those responsible.

They quietly get into position with the help of the rocky terrain and are able to make the first strike.

Will they be able to free the sandworm? And will the sandworm once freed, get its revenge against those who harmed it?

In a flash, one of them is knocked down. A twisted creature of mud and jagged teeth emerges from the pond, ready to gnaw at them.

Before they decide to just flee, the rogue spots something shiny lodged into the creature’s droopy body. A chest. With shiny stuffs inside.

With this, everyone gets ready to return the monster to the ground where it belongs.

They’re lucky, for the trees here bear strange fruit that sates their hunger and quenches their thirst. They take a moment, trying to figure out a plan to get back to land.

That’s when some frog-like creatures leap onto the islets where they’re resting. The creatures make eye contact with the adventurers, and try to communicate with them.

How will this conversation end? Will the adventurers be able to get the help they need? Or will they end up in yet another fight due to their bad manners?

Nothing seems to go wrong in this tropical paradise. That is, until dusk, when out of nowhere a swarm of giant wildlife begin to terrorize all the guests!

“This is definitely an abnormality,” says the druid, well-versed in the fauna of the region. “I’m afraid there’s something else at work here.”

And with those words, the party decides to investigate the cause of such peculiar event and hopefully, return to their well-deserved vacation.

The village elder has hired the party of adventurers to retrieve a stolen lock-box. The lock-box contains the town’s seasonal tax tribute and went missing when the elder was quite… well, drunk.

The culprits? A cunning-band of forest-dwelling criminals, who using their wit and charm got from the talkative elder the location of said lock-box.

Fortunately for the town, the ranger has tracked the thieves deep into the woods. The bad news for the adventurers? It has led them straight toward a notorious natural choke-point.

How will the adventurers approach this encounter? Will they go straight into the canopy to guard themselves from the barrage of arrows raining from the rocks above? Or will they risk being on open terrain for more maneuverability?

And so they all tried their best to make their way through the fiery mountain. They protected the wizard, lest they lose concentration and they all fall to their surefire death.

But out of nowhere, creatures made from fire and brimstone come to attack.
