Echoes of the Entity is a 20+ art, roleplay, and writing community based on the Dead by Daylight franchise. It allows players to roleplay as their favorite characters, create new ones, or explore canon crossovers within the Entity's realm. These roleplays can be casual, or, with the implementation of modified Dungeons & Dragons mechanics, you can conduct a full trial using tokens and maps created by the EotE team. You will also have the opportunity to share your art and fanfiction, and if you play the game, you can find others to join you in matches. The servers will always be neat, with easy-to-understand channel and category titles, and plenty of ways to contact staff, either publicly or privately, via Tickets.
And just like in Dead by Daylight itself, you'll be able to earn Bloodpoints. You can spend them on items, upgrades, accolades for your profile in the server, and more.

We are currently in the Preserver phase. What does that mean?
Unfortunately, since this is a pre-server, some features will be absent until they're fully implemented. But there's always a silver lining! Because you so courteously joined our pre-server, you will be able to:
Vote on features that you want to see in the server, which will earn you points(these points will carry over into the server)
You will be able to reserve a canon character for when the full server opens.
If you volunteer as a Mod in our little pre-server, you will be able to reserve 2 characters and receive 300 points. (Note: you will have to remain active in the role as Mod in the pre-server to keep these benefits)

I really can't believe I have to say this:
Saying that you understand why Character A did Morally Gray/Terrible thing X, and then explaing that reasoning is not excusing the behavior.
It's just Character Analysis.
Enjoying a character that is Morally Gray/ Villainous (or lets be really: if they have any sort of flaws or shortcomings because if characters aren't constantly a Boy/Girl Scout they're scum) doesn't mean you are a terrible person.
Policing peoples moralities based on the fiction they enjoy is Fucking weird. Stop it.

thinking about a character who hates having their injuries or illnesses being obvious to others, but also, very deep down, longing for that gentle affection and tenderness and care when they’re feeling terrible
To add onto this already incredible trope:
I know that for many people, the first type of character that comes to mind when given this scenario is the ‘Protector’ Archetype. The ones who have it drilled into them that they need to be strong at all times because they're relied on to keep other people calm and safe. That they are a human meat-shield, actual or metaphorical, for those smaller and weaker than them. Don't get me wrong, those are some good characters. But let me give you another scenario:
A practically feral character.
One who’s so accustomed to being hurt, used, and abandoned that they dare not let people know they’re hurting because that's weakness. And there is that bone-deep fear (Or maybe expectation in their eyes) that they’ll only be hurt further, or be completely ripped apart in this dog-eat-dog world. There's no honor in their decisions to keep themselves on guard, no desire or need to protect other people, only to defend themselves.
They snap, they growl, they bite, hiding that pain and anxiety with anger and violence. Anyone who so much as considers offering aid is immediately and aggressively rebuked. Like “I’m not showing you my belly fuck off!”
But despite it all, the abuse, the pain, and betrayal, they still have that little flicker of hope that someone will come along who won't twist the knife when they drop the act. And when that individual comes along? The Feral character just sinks into the tenderness. Cause who knew touch didn't need to be painful?
