OHOHO... LITTLE DO YOU KNOW... YOU'VE STUMBLED RIGHT INTO MY TRAP!!!

So, as of right now, the answer is no. I don't have any of my lore officially written down. I don't have a forum thread or anything, there are no stories to read, it's all kind of just limited to random scattered posts I've made on this blog.

BUT!! For the past few months, I've been working on the script for a fully-fledged, beginning-to-end, long-term Firebird's Roost WEBCOMIC, telling the story in complete narrative form! That's why I'm so cagey about spoilers, and why I made all those simplified reference sheets for the major characters. Gonna be drawing them a lot.

It'll be structured kind of like Pinepaw and the Forgotten World or Time's Carcass - chapters released semi-regularly with multiple pages at a time, blending illustrated segments with written prose. I figured it'd be less demanding than a fully-paneled comic, since writing has always come more naturally to me. Won't be too long, either; right now my outline's at a little over 40 chapters. Structured more like a self-contained movie than a big sprawling series.

And it's kind of perfect that this big wave of reignited interest in ask culture and lore sharing popped up when it did, because over the last couple of weeks, I've basically finished the last of the prep work!! I just need to make a few more last-minute tweaks and get some feedback from my writer friends, and Firebird's Roost will finally be ready to go!

My goal is to get the cover out by Halloween and start posting the actual chapters in November. Definitely putting them on Tumblr, and probably a dedicated hosting site like Comicfury, but I'd have to double-check the terms of service before I post anything on Flight Rising itself. Things get a little... messy... in some of the later scenes. We'll see.

In any case, I am VERY excited, and it means the world to hear that other people are interested in my stories!! This has been a massive passion project for me and I've poured so much of my heart into these silly dragons.
