What does it mean to be unmuted? 💥 So often, we don’t speak up when we wish we did. How many times have you not asked for the promotion? How many times have you not spoke up about what was said that hurt you, and bit your lip instead? How many times have you not asked the question in class, or requested the favor from a friend? ❓When I take a moment to stop and analyze myself, I realize that I often have myself on mute more than I would prefer. 🎮 I know it’s scary to speak up, or to say what’s on your mind. But let me ask you, what is the worst thing that could happen? Would someone else disagree with you? Would the person who you asked a favor from say no? 🥴 Let me tell you, if no is the worst thing that could happen, imagine the possibilities if they said yes. 🙌🏽 Rejection is a natural part of life. It’s inevitable. But if we learn to see the small rejections and small failures as steps closer to being stronger or more successful, they go from being negative into being positives. 🦶🏾 It’s time that we learn to speak up. Not just for ourselves, but for others as well. So many people are voiceless due to their upbringing, current life situation, age, being differently abled, or being animals or mother earth, who don’t communicate in the same language that us humans do. 🌎 Speak up for the voiceless. Speak up for yourself and see what happens. It’s time to unmute yourself. 🦋 A huge thanks to @urbandecay for sending me this beautiful box.
