While I can't say I'm the most skilled out there, drawing is still fun and I've saved way too many reference photos not to get started on it.

Like they'll never see each other again. Sighs.

Exploring Charlos' relationship with physical contact.

(this can be read in a shippy light, but my intent is actually to showcase the ease and comfort they portrayed next to each other even as rivals, and make some jokes because that's what we're here for. Please be advised that this is all for fun.)

Level 1: High fives!

Level 2: Personal space? Don't know her.

Carlos/Charles loves his personal space. Charles/Carlos also loves Carlos/Charles personal space.

Level 3: Hand holding! (or hand pulling as it was most of the time)

Level 4: Head on shoulder??

Level 5: Waist grab

(Yes, we know, Carlos. We know, you can stop.)

Level 6: Thigh grab (Carlos?? Charles??)

Level 7: Butt smacking (Yes, I know this is a staple in like, every sport. But lets think of an outsider's perspective in all this, yes?)

Level 8: Head cupping! (Don't even have to mention the perpetrator here)

Granted, my knowledge on the history of these beyond recent years is limited so this won't include more selective moments - BUT -I like hugs. I think hugs are just neat actually. So, these are some of my favorite on-track hugs, because yes.

Franco hugging his grandma during his roadshow in Argentina, because she can't fly out to his races, just squeezed my heart.

The Singapore 2023 Carlando 1-2, a classic.

Carlando hugs just hit different in general, but

this was something else.

The Charlos Monaco 2024 and Monza 2024 hugs, gems. And how Carlos can't seem to help but reach to cup the back of his head after and tug- *gets shot*

Carlos 2nd Williams podium, Qatar 2025. They call this accident Renaissance, yes?

And like every hug from this night (Abu Dhabi 2021)

Max just hugging everyone like he never wants to let go. I can't imagine the relief and the elation.

Principal Horny aside, it's a really good hug.
