[About My Next Work]

Planned page count 12.

My voluminous work so far has been 8 pages, so this one will be twice that.

Most of the previous works in the IF series were 4 pages per chapter, so this one will be four times that.

This is going to take quite a while…

This time is full of challenges. I’ve been going through a lot of trial and error. Between my physical and mental condition and the difficulty of the artwork, this is definitely the hardest work for me it’s ever been.

I absolutely love the people who check out my comics, my art, and sometimes even my tweets.

You guys give me so many compliments—on my work and even on me—you praise everything about me.

On top of that, you worry about my health, cheer me on, and even care about how I’m feeling.

I love you, I love you, I love you. These might just be casual words to you, but to me, they make me so happy and fill my heart to the brim. I want to hug each and every one of you and kiss you on the cheek. I love the people who support me so much I could just eat them up.

The stories in my comics might be a little hard to follow. I’m sorry. I’m very particular about leaving “room for imagination,” so that might make them a bit difficult to understand.

Even so, thank you for your support.

Making comics is so much fun, and drawing Jester is truly, truly fun!! 💜‪💜‪💜‪💜‪💜‪

What should I do? It’s probably impossible to turn them all into a comic… Should I just publish the text as a mini-novel?

I don’t think I can turn this into a mini-comic. It’s an idea related to the IF series.

But as the story gradually expanded, I decided it would be better to incorporate it into the IF series.

That’s how it often goes: after the initial idea pops into my head, the number of scenes I want to draw, lines I want Jester to say, and actions I want to depict keeps growing, which increases the page count. As a result, I often end up having to add a new part to the IF series that wasn’t originally planned.

(This has been especially noticeable lately—even though I’d already finished the translation and the plot, calculated the page count, and started drawing, new ideas kept popping up while I was working, so PART 1.5 ended up expanding from one page to six ‪🤣‬)

To begin with, there were absolutely no plans for a sequel to IF PART 1. It was meant to be a standalone comic.

But I received so many comments asking for a sequel, and when I thought about how I might approach it if I were to draw more, I found myself wanting to draw it too, so I created the sequel.

The reason I brought this up is that another new comic idea just popped into my head.

What should I do…? I was originally planning to make “another PART3-A Afterstory” and “another PART3-B,” but it looks like another part might be added.

Should I make it “another PART3-C,” or maybe “PART2.5”? I’m still debating it.
