Tbh, I wasn't going to post this comic since I couldn't bother to clean it up and add details, and it looks messy af, and I kinda just made it to get this scene out of my mind... But might as well, I suppose!

In this au Dark Sun "accidentally" makes Nexus overdose on negative star power shortly after taking them to his pocket dimension, kinda to make them more numb/angry and kinda just to torture them. Unknowingly to DS, the accident somehow made Nexus more lucid and gave them a better connection to the power, but they still need wither shards to actually achieve the level of power they desire.

Nexus catches Ruin in the act of putting the bomb into their chest and makes him explode instead. They act in front of DS as though they're unaware that he was the one who orchestrated the whole thing and just pretend that they're only angry at Ruin. Of course DS thinks of Nexus very lowly so he believes that Ruin just messed it up and that Nexus is still unaware that he's trying to manipulate them.

And after Nexus gathers enough power, they decide to give DS a taste of his own medicine, just in a bit more hands-on way :]

a moment from one of many one shots i'm writing that was simply too homosexual to not draw.

First one is "I want to fix things and for us to be happy together like we were before." (Basically MGNS)

Second one is "I want so badly just to tear you limb from limb, but I love you too much to do so, therefore i will resort to calling you a bitch constantly and making your life a living, breathing hell. Because I love you, of course."

It's even better when the SECOND one slowly shifts to the FIRST.

nexus' little arm patches! they're like trophies. no, you don't have to draw them this detailed if you want to try and draw the bastard. i sure as hell won't.

they're reminders of his failures, not his wins.

Hear me out on the idea of new moon x solar, BUT, new moon keeps internally rejecting and overthinking any romantic feelings towards Solar/from Solar bcuz they still think they're aroace (aka they never disconnected from that 'moon' identity that was essentially forced onto them)

Idk I thought it was silly,,,,,, sola r makes them learn more about themselves awhahauhw🥹🥹🥹🥹

I see two meta reasons and two lore reasons for this

Lore: joy was lying, someone was controlling joy, or someone manipulated joy( in like an impersonation way.

Or meta reasons : they forgot about it , or it’s a retcon

As we know, even good and kind moons were hurt by their suns after the catalyst, so imagine suns were took over by a "unknown force" and suddenly attack their friend/sibling/lover/coworker/friendly neighbor like a wild beast wanting to kill them. And then we could've learn how dark sun approached those distressed suns and how moon haven helped those moons

I wished that sun sanctuary and moon haven arcs were better explored because i didn't exactly liked how the canon handle their concepts

I do wish it was better handled too.

I think they’re leaning too much onto some of the Sun sanctuary being nice and some of the moon haven being mean.

We need to see more sympathetic Moons that don’t get treated badly like Nexus or Sun that are actually monstrous and don’t get treated with sympathy like Dark Sun.

The Dark Sun part is especially important because they were trying to hard to make him a for the greater good character despite all the terrible things he did.

for personal reasons i have some trust on how it is gonna be bc the haven and sanctuary arc is NOT over yet, however i agree, the suns keep getting depicted as good and impossible to hurt unless actually deranged (cough, servant sun and people just wanna see him being like lord eclipse, rolls my eyes), and moons keep getting seen as mean, irresponsible, too serious, too flawed etc

anyway i'm just waiting for a cool thing to happen very soon, i think tyrant will be very important on this
