•　　born as 赤い ( akai ) 田尻 ( tajiri ), on 1st august 1986. nicknamed "red" with how his eyes tend to flare with the tinctures of flickering flames while excited. raised in lower middle class, before his father took off the seas to be the family's breadwinner. he visits him between trips, the family is on relatively good terms.

•　　no longer the kantonian champion, has stepped down from it's pedestal and has since resigned the title to lance, and then subsequently to blue. doesn't mind being mistaken for the champion, and will often correct trainers who do.

•　　one of the sole perpetrators in the disbandment and dismantling of team rocket. with the help of blue, red infiltrated silph.co during the team rocket takeover. eyewitnesses, ( scientists, executives. ) confirmed his appearance during the incident through a familiar cap. silph.co had quietly credited him, but red's dismissal to giving interviews led to a more mythical interpretation of the event over time.

•　　currently traveling around the world. their destinations are usually updated within small circles, though tentative fans tend to check his sightings through thorough journalists. he can be contacted via professors if he's out doing fieldwork or just having the time of their life, most reachable would be through blue oak.

•　　his selective mutism heavily influences his battling style. his pokémon are trained to sharply attune to his hand gestures and bodily movements. red and his pokémon are heavily in sync, as if there was any doubt about that to begin with, the slightest waver of breath is all the difference they need. on miscellaneous notes. charizard owns a charizardite x, pikachu owns both catastropika and 10,000,000 thunderbolt, and snorlax can gigantamax.

•　　outwardly queer. anyway onto the fact that the alolan trip with blue is most definitely a honeymoon. he's admitted on a radio show to not have an exact preference to who he looks for in a partner in response to a light hearted tease. as long as they're happy with him, and can accept him for who he is, they're all good.

•　　horrible at making human food, adequate with making pokémon food. it's really a wonder how he survived on mt. silver with culinary skills that of a toddler. but turns out, desperation is a leading survival factor. it's broadcasted once on live television while he's gallivanting in the sinnoh region.

▸⠀⠀PRIVATE KNOWLEDGE.

•　　he keeps a diary of his mount. silver days stashed away in an unknown alcove around the mountainous path, untouched by pokémon nor trainers. it has claw markings near the entrance, supposedly from a charizard. within hides a small, but livable cavernous space that's untouched by the weather. miscellaneous trinkets such as pictures, pokéballs, figurines, scribbles notes plastered across walls and handy cupboards.

•　　the viridian cave was sealed temporarily, prior to red's claim as champion, declared unstable for the time being as psychic energy warps uneasily throughout the wreckage. a ruined pokégear is buried beneath the mounds, red paint peeling off from torn—out circuitries. but no evidence of its owner. prof. oak and blue are the two who are most likely aware of red and charizard's destructive ambition that could led up to the incident.

•　　red did not catch mewtwo. after the near fatal incident in viridian cave, he blacked out before he could officially capture it. although, mewtwo tends to follow him around like a shadow, after scarring him along the chest and healing it, perhaps it's some sort of a silent guardian.

•　　phobia of drowning. while he isn't particularly afraid of any body of water, he's deathly afraid of being suffocated, overwhelmed and ultimately consumed by something he can't climb out off. so if given a choice to travel by air or sea, air is the immediate choice. he does, however, have a strong affinity for beaches.

•　　chest scar left from the viridian cave. an x—cut across pectorals, left as a burning reminder for his own insolence as a trainer. sometimes it burns with the remnants of charizard's misfired blast burn, and he wallows with it in a silent guilt.

•　　red's mom suffers from clinical depression ﹠ insomnia after red went allegedly missing during his 3 years stay up in mount. silver. he wound up making a promise to her that for each region he'd travel to, one pokémon will be caught and sent back home to accompany her in her lonesome. so far, the pokémon red has at home are: alolan raichu, espeon, chansey, gardevior, togekiss, audino, aromatisse, indeedee, and a pikachu.

acts of service. in all honesty, red truly doesn't have a preference to which love language he expresses, he tends to encompass multiple at once. to be loved is to be seen, whatever his partner needs they get, he wants their partner to know he's reliable. the fire in him will never extinguish, and it's flames only stokes stronger, and stronger while in love. he'd love to share this warmth with the people who are the closest to him throughout his life. it's not a subconscious thing, nor an active thing he strives to do, red simply sees his body as kindling, and will break a piece of himself off just to share it with his loved ones. if it means keeping someone he holds dear warm, he'll gladly burn for it.

he's an intensive perfectionist. it's something he's still finding within himself, the oxygen to his fire. both stem from a deep hearth, his perfectionist seeks flawlessness and his ambition seeks elevation. when these two forces coexist within someone, they burn brighter and become unstoppable. it draws people in, but it can also scorch the one who tends to it. controlled fire gives light, warmth, energy — a metaphor for healthy ambition and thoughtful striving. he will not stop at training once a roadblock's hit, and will run himself dry if they can't find the catalyst to break free. every failure is just untapped potential waiting to ignite.
