hii!!! i wanted to ask what are you top 5 rinharu scenes? :D
Hello:) Oh hell, this is kinda hard. I guess you mean like from the anime, not like from all the rinharu moments? So I canโt pick like cds and books and etc stuff, right? If so, then Iโm gonna say and I donโt know in what order tbh but:
1. The meeting with australian parents. It was just priceless for so many reasons. I canโt even decide what was the sweetest part in all of this. It was just a gift that kept giving xD Firstly, they saw Haru and immediately knew that it was him, cause heโs just the way Rin described him including his beautiful eyes, then we found out that Rin has talked about Haru all the time and how much he adores him, then we found out that Rin asked for them to make Haru mackerel.
Then was just my favorite when Russel asked if Rin has a girlfriend yet, instead of just normally saying no, Rin went โehhhhhhh... well...mmmmโ and they were like โI guess heโs a late bloomer.โ and I was like โno, he bloomed just fine, when he was 13 he had a dream where he undressed Haru to suck on his shoulderโ lmao
Iโm still 100% sure though that Lori knows :D
Also, cause at first Haru just couldnโt believe that Rin wants to include him in such private thing, but then we know how Haru was hurting cause he always wanted to be a part of Rinโs world and he missed this part, so it was so touching how he was trying so hard to catch and understand everything they were saying, and then how he was looking at little Rinโs pictures... I cry, poor baby even forgot to eat.
2. The sakura scene. No matter what happens in Free! nothing will ever beat the most romantic scene on the show. They can unsuccessfully copypaste everything, but a scene like that nobody will ever get.
And this literally looks like a classic kdrama thing where the main couple realise that they love each other and theyโre the only one in the world. Itโs the classic in a heterosexual romantic animes too.
The last part obviously for the gem, but the whole scene from the very beginning to the very end was the classic scene that everyone has read in fic from that meme where theyโre both yelling at each other, but then one screams โBECAUSE I LOVE YOU, YOU MORON!โ and the other one is stunned lmao That was basically what happened, but they couldnโt put it that way, but everyone thought about it lol I think there was even a fake subs for that on youtube.
Haru softly smiling and his eyes shining when his crybaby Rin is back with his โI just wanted to swim with youโ is just the cutest thing ever. Plus, I love how Rei was so done with them in that scene, this was just a cherry on top haha
3. The bench scene. Starting with Haru dropping his fried mackerel once he heard somebody say โRinโ, then busting into the room and being like โwhat? is something wrong with my bae?โ and emergency calling him in the middle of the night. Like why did they cut after Rin picking up the phone, I wanted to see Rinโs face when he heard Haru saying to him โmeet me on the bench in the parkโ and hanging up xD
Rinโs heartattack when he thought Haru was interested in Gou is just LMAO Haru was looking at him like he was speaking engrish haha
But one of my favorites of course because of the moment when Haru says that Rin was the one who made him want to have a future, a future with him. He was like โYOU MADE ME WANT ALL OF THIS... and NOW YOUโRE GONNA JUST DROP ME, LIKE HELL YOU WILL, YOU.. YOU PRETTY PIECE OF MEAT.. i mean, shitโ. I think he himself didnโt expect that he would get so emotional himself. He clearly didnโt even think anything logically through (cause actually it was pretty dumb to think that Rin wouldโve suddenly quit now for basically no reason), he was that scared at the mere thought. Imagine that.
And Rin just made it even better when he decided to even the score so Haru wouldnโt be the only one putting his heart out there, he clearly saw that Haru was abashed by this, so Rin went and said that just swimming with him would be enough for him. Do you not get? He just wanted to be with Haru before he leaves, and fuck the party.
And god, Haru was so fucking cute when he said โjust that is enough?โ. Like โReally? Just me?โ Just.. just look at this cupcake.
Youโre enough, baby, have you seen the way he looks at you? Did you not get the youโre โthe shiningโ from his essay?
4. Hotel in Australia. First, why nobody talks about the fact that Haru didnโt even want to go and change the rooms, he didnโt even ask for it? And damn, he looked so sad when Rin said that heโs gonna go and ask for another room, Iโm dying
The bed talk was pure magic. From the Rin who was like โdidnโt I tell you how much I adore you. I know itโs like for the 4th time today, but still". I love how Rin said everything just so so right, that it hurts. How he still remembers the day they met (frozen he held his breath haha). I love how he blushed and smiled so happily when Haru quickly said โme tooโ. All the Haruโs realization that apparently Rin feels the same way as he did all this time. How Rin said that he even forgot that he lost, cause all the feelings were washed away and he only thought of how amazing Haru is. How he inspires him to move forward and how much easy it all is when heโs there with him and how he wants a future with him, so they could feel like this every day.
I mean he described it all so tempting, that Haru was like โI really want all of thatโ. And I can tell that he wanted it from the very beginning, he just same as Rin didnโt know it how to formulate all that he feels, but at that moment all the puzzle pieces started to finally come together.
5. Like Iโve already said here. The fence scene holds a special place in my heart for many reasons, Haruโs sass, Rinโs voice, the fact that they absolutely lose control and forget how to breathe and think when theyโre this close to each other, but mainly cause it was the moment when it all went down the hill for me.
